Is it pronounced as in English, or is it "rode lachet?"

Neither way. Though I do know how it's pronounced, I can't be any help 'cause it's too difficult for me to write it. Sorry.

I pronounce it as if it were German: "Röda Lacket". The Swedish pronunciation is certainly a little different, but hopefully not that much.

"road-a luck-it" also should sound similar.

        Cheers!

In norway its pronounced "Røda Laket/røda lacet"
the ø sounds like "ea" in early.

Well 'c' in Swedish is pronounced almost like 'k' but in 'lacket' it's not clearly pronounced at all. La-et. The only example of the 'la' part I can recall is from Annie Hall - "la-di-daa". And then 'et' after it.

OK, I think I am getting it. I recall seeing that the city "Linkoping" in Sweden is pronounced something like "Linchoping" and I wonder about that "k" sound ....
