    Mini Portions?

I really think im gonna switch on these on the next time. I think the large is too big to handle in my upper lip, and also the lower nicotine level. I just dont have any minis now, just only white portions. So any other having this problem?

All I can say is I too thought the regulars were too big when I first started. So after my initial sample box from Northerner, I ordered a roll of Mocca Anise. Love the snus, but simply not enough nicotine. And you know what, I figured out after another few weeks of using regulars that they really weren't too big. Just took some time getting used to the feel of a snus in my mouth all the time.

3 years later, I often just forget I have anything in.

My gig is los but I do like the minis for discretion. However, I think most portion users will tell you that you will adjust to the feel of a regular portion and that it will not be a problem before too long.

My advice would be to use minis in public settings and use regulars at home until you feel comfortable with them. My reasoning is that there is just more variety with regular sizes than with minis. The nic thing though is a different matter. However, I tend to use stark minis which have roughly the same nic as regulars. Thus I probably won’t be much help there.

Either way, it is what works for you and what you enjoy. Have fun with it and keep us posted on how it goes. You would be amazed at how many people lurk here and never post but who will read and benefit from your posts.

        This.

I don't like op's because of the drip.

I don't like whites because they bother my gums.

I do use strong minis now at work because I had a los mudslide in a meeting and got called on it by my boss' boss. I use the 6 mg Taboca mini + and they are just right for me. Not too much nic, good discreet size and the tin doesn't look like a dip can.

Snus has no rules, so go with what you like. No one gets kicked out of the club for doing it "wrong".

ive recently become a fan of thunder frosted minis. same nic as a regular portion, but small for when a little added discretion is needed. i would like to buy more, but i cant get over the egregious waste of money mini cans are. 3 bucks for 10 grams of snus, what the hell?

I think you could get used to either with some time, but for the sake of minimizing addiction and tolerance I would personally use minis if they weren't 25 percent of the tobacco for the same price.

Good point and thanks for the replies. Yes the price of minis is almost same if buying normal/regular portions and its quite big difference if there is only 10 grams in mini cans.

I don't dig the minis. I very much dislike the mouth feel. I'm not sure they're any worse a deal than regular portions(which are a bad deal :^P). A snus is a snus. If you're happy with a mini at 1.5 hours in, is that really worse than being happy with a regular at 1.5 hours in?

I'd suggest a tin of lös baked very small. You'll get the mini experience, but have 90 portions per tin instead of 20. :^)

Actually, The Thunder Mini's only have 1/2 the nic as the regular Thunder Frosted (but still double the nic of the other mini's). Its a bit deceiving when they list the Thunder Frosted Mini's as 16mg/g. A Thunder Mini is only 1/2g, so therefore the nic is 8 mg.

The only issue I have with regulars and whites is when I laugh. I now notice that when I laugh my upper lip comes up and the portion always seems to want to slide down, so now when I laugh (which I do often) I have to make sure that doesn't happen. lol.

Agreed - I like the minis and use them most of the time but I always felt that a can of minis should have more portions! The first snus manufacturer that decides to put 30 to 40 portions in their can of minis will get my business for sure unless it's General Wintergreen!

Ahh IC, my apologies, I read "as much as a regular portion"as "as much as a regular THUNDER portion". lol. My bad. When I first saw them list the minis as 16 mg nic I was excited (I missed the 16mg/g), because thats what I use in rotation with regulars, so I thought I could go smaller and still have the same nic. But the Thunder minis could be good in my rotation as I do a ES then a regular.

MJ26 I think switching to minis is a good idea. The less nicotine you can function with the better. Just give yourself a few days to adjust. I really enjoy the Granit minis. They taste great and last a while. The price per portion thing sucks but my goal is to save up enough snus to last 6 to 8 months, in case PACT passes, and then wean myself off the snus altogether. The minis make it easier to reduce your nicotine consumption.
