    3 Days smoke free

Yayyy for me. lol Ok I was a 2 pack a day smoker for 25 years, since I was 15. Well, proably a pack a day smoker for the first 5 years, so lets say a 2 pack a dayer for 20 years.

Been snusing for about 3 weeks now. The first couple weeks I had anywhere from 4 to 10 smokes a day while snusing. Last week I was only smoking about 5 a day, couple in the morning, a couple late at night.

Sunday morning I had the last smoke of my pack and said, screw this, I am not buying anymore cigs. I haven't had one since, and a nice strong ES snus takes care of any craving that might creep up. At home is the toughest if I am not occupied and I am even finding that easier than I thought.

But anyway, 3 days smoke free for me is amazing, LOL, so I am proud. Hopefully its the end of smoke in my lungs (well cig smoke in my lungs anyway, ) I feel SO much better. I LOVE ME MY SNUS!!!!!!!

Just don't stress it. The path is usually bumpy. If you smoke again, fine, just keep using the snus.

        And congratulations.

            Good job!

I have been smoking again for the last month (after 14 months of not smoking lol!)

Keep it up and it will work out for you.

Just stick with it!! I quit cigs with a promise to never use again and have held true. Plus in MI theyre 7 bucks a pack which is absurd, and all places here are smoke free in a couple months.

snus helped me alot...your taste will be good again...you will breathe better

and the house wont smell like a nasty ashtray(my favorite part)

Thanks guys. My wife told me as soon as I stopped smoking cigs completely she would smoke outside the house. lol, I do not think she expected it to be so fast. I figured if I last 2 weeks I will then tell her its over and done with and to take the pretty ass I love so much outside to smoke. hahahahaha. She will LOVE me for that.

Ainkor, after 14 months, what made you start again. And were you still snusing?

sagedil, Yea, I am not worrying about it too much. Since i decided not to buy them, it really has been nopt much of an issue. I get a craving here and there, but it goes away in minutes with snus. If I need one that bad, I will buy them. But man, for all the reasons mentioned I am loving it already. Taste coming back, smell coming back, feel better, don't smell. And talk about money savings, man, that alone is inspiring me to keep it up. Plus I watched my mother die a long and painful (7 yrs worth) death with emphysema and thats not how I want to go out.

Thanx all, appreciate the words of support. I am SO GLAD I found snus.

What helped me stop smoking completely was using nasal snuff along with snus. The snuff helps for that instant nic hit fix that would arise once in a while.

Looking back my move from cigs to snus required little will power at all. It was like exchanging one way to get nicotine for a far superior way without 90% of the side effects of smoking.

The hardest cigarette to let go of and the only 1 that required some will power was the first one in the morning that took me 2 months to let go of whilst snusing

your next mission should be to introduce your wife to snus.

It was exactly what happened to me, and now i'm 50 days smoke free (had one cigarette meanwhile but it didn't bothered me)

The short of it is that I spent the last two years working for an absolute tyrant. I smoked not only for nicotine, but for the meditative effect. Funny thing was, the day after I bought a pack, he was fired :P

Also, my wife went back to smoking...

But, I do snus. In fact, if I don't have a chance to smoke, snusing is just fine and I have no cravings. For some reason I am having a hard time giving it back up completely. There is hope as I love snusing still!
