    American chew - phew!

I bought some American chew from skoal.net (where I got some maxi portions of Grovsnus). Well, the package arrived today, and I opened it with anticipation. I opened the Redman first (I had ordered another brand as well). The smell wasn't too bad, but the taste shocked me. The chew was sweeter than a piece of chocolate and the taste didn't dissipate as I chewed. I had to spit it out and rinse my mouth. :x

I've tried Copenhagen and now chew. What have I learned from this? That there is nothing better than snus around and that there is no need to play the field for substitutes, as I feel that there is no substitute for snus

I've only tried Oliver Twist, it's pretty much the same... It tastes like N&J Portion (the Original OT), but still, you get tired and bored of that flavor after a little while. In the end it's just boring. Doesn't kill the nicotine hunger either :|

(Also, the coloring of the teeth is much more increased with chewing tobacco.)

your right, snus is way better than american chew or dip. if you want some strong, burning, man's dip, try some grizzley. (if you want to risk your health that is)

I rather like Levi Garrett. It's kind of sweet, but it doesn't burn as much as Redman.

levi is good, also beechnut is pretty sweet and not as hard on you as redman, i think. but i like snus better than any of it.

Snus is my favorite, but if I suddenly ran out and had no other option, I'd certainly just buy some Levi or Beechnut (I'd prefer the latter, but to each their own). At the very least, it's way easier on your mouth than dip.

But otherwise, I just don't like to spit and I don't like irritating mouth sores. Chewing involves both at some point or other.

So I'll stick with Swedish. But here and there if it's all that's around, a little bit of chewing tobacco ain't too bad.
