Less Salt?

I did a search and found that some of you here found that Skruf and Nick and Johnny had a lower amount of salt in them...... are there any others I should try?

Ive noticed that all the portions that I have tried seem to be saltier than the los I have tried. Is that typical? I need to find a good portion that has a bit more nicotine kick to it and much less salt.

Lakemonster - The only other strong portions I know of are the Offroad Strong series. In my opinion I don't recall they were very salty but they are an aquired taste (you either love them or hate them) Knox (by Skruf) is 9mg/portion (not quite as strong as strong portions but just a little more than regular portions) as opposed to the regular 8mg/portion. I don't find that salty, more lemoney. In my opinion that's a good tasting budget snus with a little more kick than your regular portion. There's also Probe Whiskey that again is 9mg/portion but in my opinion I sometimes found the Whiskey a little overpowering. Hope this helps.

Don't give up on the saltier brands. The salt is a little overwhelming when you start off but I find it just blends into the background once you are used to it. Loose is a lot less salty then portions. Ettan portions don't taste too salty IMO.

That's one of the reasons I've started to prefer loose... the lesser saltiness. I like the salt sometimes, don't get me wrong. But I think the flavor comes through a lot better without the extra addition of all that salt. For example, Goteborgs Rape loose. The portions, while not overwhelmingly salty, have some salt that I think muffles the mellow sweetness of the tobacco. Maybe it's just me.

I don't think the salt get added as "flavoring" at all (unlike -say- potato chips).
Salt is more or less part of the manufacturing process and I think that maybe the ratio of your taste buds registering the degree of saltiness is a function of the absence of other flavorings.
