Its an excellent snus. Too bad R.J. Reynolds blocked it from being shipped into America, even though Lucky Strike cigarettes hardly take any market share.

the one way to get it is by contacting some out of country members. getsnus usually carry rolls(10 can logs)

            try buysnus.com

For the 23rd time on Snuson....

R.J. Reynolds owns the name of Lucky strike (and Camel) in the US. Naming rights are owned by different companies for the international market.

About 3 - 4 months ago, R.J. Reynolds lawyers sent letters to Buysnus, Northerner, and a few others threatening to sue them if they kept importing the foreign produced "Lucky Strike" and "Camel" snus into the US. Even though customers were privately ordering from Europe, R.J. Reynolds lawyers claimed that even the private importation of it violated their naming rights here n the US.

Personally, I believe R.J. Reynolds lawyers are wrong, and they would eventually lose in court. However, the snus vendors are really, really, REALLY small by comparison, can't compete in being able to pay lawyers with R.J. Reynolds, so rolled over.

hence, why they are no longer beiung sold in the US at all.

              Sad....great snus.

Hmmm, shameful. Sometimes I fear for the future of tobacco.

Not really. Just short sighted corporate greed. That has been around I fear since the dawn of man

Used to be able to get it. It was nice but I think I read that they changed the cans from the nice metal ones. Those were excellent cans.

The pic of the new strong one looks like the same metal tin. I haven't tried it yet either....not that I need another sterk anyhow, but I would like to have LS as a part of my rotation again.

So all the European Lucky Strike and Camel brands have to do is market it under a different name for the US? Well hell, if its that good of a snus, why don't we start writing them and just ask them to send it over under a different name? Sigh, I know the answer. I know its not worth it financially, not enough customers in the US and no ability to market it here.

Hell changed the name Camel to Hump Back Snus or something, lol. There's a seller.

Believe me, several of us wrote directly to them asking them to do that very thing. The response we got back basically said it wasn't worth their time or trouble.

A quick search of the forum should find the threads where it was discussed in length (I think I even posted the email response I received directly on one of the threads). Sad really.
