    PACT ACT IS NOT DEAD......

All - the Senate passed the PACT Act.

After a short period of time in the House to have the House adopt the Senate passed bill, this will go to the President a be signed. Once it becomes law, smokeless and cigarettes cannot be sold directly to consumers via the US Mail. Companies selling smokeless and cigarettes directly to consumers must age verify, register and make reports to the states, use a private delivery company that age verifies, and pay state excise taxes. This law applies to US and foreign companies. The final bill will have the effective date, but one should assume the new requirements will take effect 3 to 6 months post-passage.

I would think, and hope, that there would be a time frame, to allow tobacco sellers to sell out their stock, before this is totalitarianly implemented. I think there is a conspiracy to create more crime and unemployment, and lead more people to smoke over taxed cigs.

            We can only hope

I am not sure that they are going to give any grace period. Its all about taxes and making more money for the govt. They are going to now charge every customer the state taxes for each tobacco sale vs. the old way or what we do now where you only pay the taxes on sales made in the state the company was headquartered in.

Its all about money and greed as usual with the US government. Keep it up Obama.. Taxing us out of business. Raising taxes is not the cure to all the problems. More lost jobs and business due to this increase as usual.

Again how was he going to create more new jobs with this act?

Dude, it's for the children, how could you be so cruel? Do you want your children to get mouth cancer and die, just so you can have your precious freedoms and fundamental rights, huh?

Is having tobacco delivered to your doorstep more important to you than the safety of your children? What kind of a person are you? Next, you're probably going to tell me you want to own a gun so your kids can blow their heads off while playing with it, right? If they haven't died already from the carcinogens in your snus-breath, that is.

You're a bad person LaZeR, you care only about yourself, so it's the governments right and duty to force you to at the very least pay more taxes as punishment for your evil ways.

Once the bill is signed there is a 3-6 month lag time before implementation?
So, unless the Snus exporters and your State are ready for the change it could take another year for the system to function again with the new tax and delivery system.

To be safe we have what about 2 months now to make our untaxed large orders and buy basement freezers?

Exactly. And how is this going to effect shops like yours and all the others who rely on the USPS, UPS, Fedex, ect... to ship snus?

So it bans shipping tobaccos via USPS.

That leaves us with UPS & Fedex with rumors floating around they may just all out refuse shipment of such product OR at the very least require a f....ing signature. How the F... am I supposed to be able to afford being home to sign for my tobacco orders when I have to work even harder to pay Higher taxes on the shit now.

Bullshit asshats in suits & ties can kiss my ass.

I WANT THIS IN MY SIG (BELOW PIC) !!!!!

                      Are you serious

Wow I really hope that was a joke. If not then ICE can you block and lock this person out who obviously does not belong in this forum... Ha Ha

I am assuming this is a joke. But lets all hope that we can make the adjustment and move on.

If you mean Mordred's post. I think he was pulling one of my tricks and just trying to tug on my chain a little.

                        I think? :|

                          Well here is my thought

It does not rule out Fedex or DHL, however yes a signature is required so if you are not home to sign for it then you would have to go to the receiving station and sign to pick it up.

Keep in mind we are not 100% out of this and even if it does pass we still can get our snus, just is going to cost a little more in shipping and yes you will have to sign for it which can be a big hassel, but if that is the only way to get the good Swedish stuff then its what we have to do.

Start hording again guys. This tax will come into effect immediately after signature or else vendors face government problems.

I agree + vote these stupid bastards out of office ASAP. I don't give a shit if they are republican or democrats. Although I see the 2 asshats signed on to this bill in my particular state just happen to be democrats... (Imagine that, who would have thunk it.... Liberals looking for more of OUR money in taxation without representation.)

F.... em all. Now I have to pop a couple Clonazepam just to get through my work day.
