When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

As long as I can still get snus, abeit more costly, I'll be ok. If not, there is no way I'm going back to smoking.

Look at the bright side "I guess". At least we can still buy some few flavors of General brand in the tobaccy stores & possibly as rumors seem to have it V2 might be busting into the USA retail "shop" walk-in market.

But yea, I reckon to get all our other favorites if this thing flys, we might either have to become outlaws OR find a EU citizen or whatnot to go down on.....

          CHANGE IS HERE!

I wonder how this will affect american tobacco companies shipping product internationally outside of the US.

This was a bipartisan effort if ever there was one. S.1147 passed the Senate by Unanimous Consent, meaning that no senator objected to the bill. Meaning that no "Conservative" right wing senator raised any objections.

I grow more and more disappointed with the direction of our country every day. It's been that way for almost a decade now... Makes me want to just give the **** up.

Se Seniorita... But I also blame Obama and his soon to be "Magic Pen".

Change we can't believe in..... But yea, politicians suck in general in these days and times.

Seems America was the greatest up to about the 50's, then started leveling off during the 60's and 70's, and then going down. I guess it ranks at maybe number 30 now.

+1. Hell even our current commander in chief is quick to point out how bad America has become and sucky we are.

I am fairly certain that there were a number of African-Americans, Native Americans, Asians, Jews, homosexuals and women of all races who would have had strong contentions about how "great" the USA was for them during the 1950s and earlier. But that is neither here nor there.

Keep in mind that PACT is not law until after the House vote and the actual signing into law by Obama. The House vote looks to be a mere formality, and I'd be surprised if Obama doesn't sign it, but until he does, it is not (yet) law.

I got a tweet from CNN about it passing the Senate. Now I'm even more glad I did buy tobacco seeds this winter. Worse comes to worse, I'll just be learning how to make my own...mint flavored of course.

But seriously...this will cause job losses, more bootlegging, a black market, and maybe even a few will start shipping tobacco products in more "interesting" ways I guess. Still bites though...

I still stand bywhat I said. It's "secret" intention is:

                            More crime
                            More unemployment
                            More smokers

Unrelated to tobacco, but this same type of thing is going on with the reptile world...they're trying to ban all non-native species from being in the country, transported across state lines, and illegal to breed them. There's a huge section of the pet world that would go down the drain with the passage of that bill too, including companies that raise rodents as food for them. Different "product", but still the same idea.

                              Socialism...humph...

I am assuming this is a joke. But lets all hope that we can make the adjustment and move on.
If you're referring to me, of course I was joking.

As for adjustments, well, here's hoping that you and the other online shops can sucessfully adjust. I mean, I'm in Europe, so PACT doesn't affect me directly, but it's clear that if places like Buysnus and Notherner lose customers through this in the US, they will have to either downgrade or up their prices, which WILL affect me.
