a difference between snus and dip i'm noticing

i can't sit still with a brand.
kinda get sick of a can about 3/4's deep and the next can is always different.
i'm kinda hoping i settle down, just for ease of ordering and what not.
with dip never had this issue

Yup that's snus for you, it is weird how we order so many brands. Much like cigar and pipe smokers I guess, and snuff for sure. I wonder if there are snuff users who only use one kind? Somehow that would be kind of weird. I hear you though, unless it's one of my top 5, like Odens ES, Skruf lös, or Grov lös, I get bored before I'm done with the can. It didn't used to be that way, but I'm getting to the point where I only want my favorites and I have to force myself to get through something. Even something very unusual and good in it's own special way, like LD Black, I didn't even finish, but I still like to keep things exciting with some variety.

I'm kind of that way, too, in that there are kinds I can go on and on with, like PM1847, LD, General, and Taboca; then there are others I like a lot, like Roda Lacket, but I find I need to switch them up more often with other brands. Ettan and Grov fall somewhere in the middle.

i like grov and general.
but towards the end it bores me and i usually crack a can of phantom classic.
the citrus is a nice break from the str8 tobacco taste.
but eventually i'm sickened by the citrus, and i'm back at a more tobacco tasting snus.
still exploring new brands, got ettan and ld coming.
staples are phantom/grov/general so far

take out general and it would be an even balance or mix grov and phantom 50/50 or 2:1 and you might have the snus you can use nonstop

i could picture a swede possibly having brand loyalty, just as an american would maybe do with dip....maybe its has to do with "taken for granted-ness".

i dont think about american dip yanno? or have stashes of it, or purchase every kind there is...i usually just reach for the same can every time because its there, in the store, and i like it...no thought necessary.

i mean i have favorites of snus and dip... but theres always that standby, you know...kinda like if all the snus in the world burned up tomorrow and you could only have one kind for the rest of your life, snus.

I found the same phenomenon w/ snus then I lost it and went all Grov all the time. I found the variety to keep it exciting again. I thank this to nasal snuff but now I find I'm paring down my variety again. I would've thought that the veteran snuser would have one brand but here I find that not to be the case.

Studies have shown that the most brand-loyal products are Cigarettes, Toothpaste, and Mayonnaise. Snus being tobacco I thought would fit (as I fell into the same dip can over and over).

Isn't variety the spice of life though?

But there is only one good mayonnaise. Best Foods out west, Hellmans out east. Who the hell would buy anything else? Not even Kraft compares. And if you like Miracle Whip, you probably beat your kids too (not you Kitchen). I can switch it up with toothpaste though. When I smoked my girlfriend thought it was weird that I would occasionally bring home some 555's, Nat Shermans, or Davidoffs. I used to like those Canadian Players, too, the short ones.

I hope that was a rhetorical question! I don't use just one kind of snuff, but I have been heavily into the Toque ones so I have gotten a little loyal to one brand anyways. Does that count? :lol:

It took me over 2 years to settle on one brand. Retro, until that got yanked form me.

These days, I have established a suitable replacement routine, but it has me now using three plus a sterk. I use General White, a bit less Kronan, and Grov White as a change of pace a few times a day.

So close enough to stable. Ordering is easy for me. Need about 10 cans of General, 6 or 7 of Kronan, 3 of Grov white, and about 4 of Nick and Johnny Black. That rotation should last me 2 months.

I'm with you on this one, I would always switch it up with cigs. Kools and Marlboro reds were always a staple, but I was constantly buying different packs. I think this has something to do with the fact that all corporately manufactured cigs (including NAS) taste like absolute dog turd, so brand loyalty makes about as much sense as toilet loyalty.

And mayonnaise? Really? I am just always happy if I have some, never really thought about what kind. I will take this suggestion under advisement.

It would be much easier, and I would have less cans laying around.

Having 10,000 different cans in your fridge gets lame after awhile. Snus isn't like cigars where you have your humidor filled with hundreds of them (mostly for show really).
