Just one for thought, what would be your ideal snus webshop bonus point system?

Mine would be one where you could use your bonus points as part payment towards any snus or snus accessories you would like to buy.

If I had to buy there, I´d just say screw points and just lower the prices, cause they really are outrageously high.

I don't mind Northerner's system but they don't really offer many different snus as bonus products. I'd like to be able to choose any snus w/ the points. As far as the other non-tobacco products...they're not appealing to me except maybe the Ettan hat but would prefer a Grov hat by far.

That's exactly what I'd do. I'd keep Northerners system mostly like it is now. It's purpose isn't totally to benefit customers. It also pushes slow sellers, and promotes products. I'd set it up so their current page is where the "discounted" stuff is, but as an alternate allow you to put points towards any product they carry, but at a reduced rate. In other words the points you have might be enough for a free can of Skruf Stark White, but if you want Ettan, they may only cover 1/2-3/4 of the cost.

The opportunity for webshops to select which brands you can buy for free with your bonus points but also offering you the oppurtunity to put your bonus points towards other products you might want that are not on the list either giving you a discount on that product or maybe costing additional bonus points to get that product for free?

I think the best use of a point promotional system would be to earn points towards a hooker of your choice. The system can be set up like this; 100 points for a 100 lb hooker up to say... 300 points for a 300 lb hooker. Add 10 points if you want a blond, 10 points if you want your choice of nationality, 10 points if you want her clean and so on. Works for me. :wink:

I'm with texasmade, I say screw the points and offer free shipping. I'm sure this is not feasible from Sweden, so maybe incorporating the existing point system into a free shipping option would work. After a year of really only placing $50+ orders with getsnus and never paying shipping, it was a bit of a shock to go back to Northerner and pay what seemed like a crazy amount for 7 cans that took what seemed like forever to get here.

Hopefully you might see an improvement on Northerner delivery times as I beleive they've just switched back to Swedish Post (like BuySnus use) rather than Swiss Post. Swiss Post took 1 1/2 weeks to get from Sweden to UK for me (imagine it must have taken an age to get to the US?) but my Swedish post package this week only took 3 days which I was really pleased with.

Each product carried has a reasonable point value. Save enough points and buy it. Thus at northerner I could use my points for a roll, snuff, candy, etc...

So you're telling me I can get three STD-free Swedish 100 lb. hookers for 360 points.....or one 300 pound Mexican hooker with herpes for 300 points. what a dilemma.

I think this will be an important change for Northerner. Depending on how the PACT ACT effects things, I imagine that small orders are going to become too expensive (with the added shipping costs that are likely to come). Therefore the company best prepared to reward buyers for bulk buys will be the most likely to thrive under these new conditions.

I like Northerner (just placed an order with them for Gellivare not too long ago) However, Buysnus gets my big yearly order because their reward system allows me to apply my points to any product- thereby reducing my cost noticeably. Right now Northerner's system is all but worthless to me.

I think the idea of discounting brands they want to move is a certainly understandable. However, in the end, if the points required for a non discounted brand are so high that there is no real advantage or savings, there will be no incentive to using them. If I have to buy 25 rolls to get 1 roll free of my choice--- I'll be at Buysnus

For me the the key is a point system that
1. rewards the customer with worthwhile savings
2. and that can be used on the brands I actually want

Otherwise, it does nothing to keep me coming back
