PACT UPDATE in the House, unfinished business...

I was browsing the getsnus forum the other day for the first time and someone said that snuson is riddled with self-righteous pricks, whackos, arguments, drugs, pornographic content, and our threads get so off topic it's absurd. Way to maintain the status quo people I, for one, think it's a great place, it's the only forum I care to visit, and I think overall that we're a very friendly, funny, and thoughtful lot. Sometimes someone might say something crazy, and if we aren't particularly familiar with that person's style, we might get out of hand with outrageous and unnecessary retorts. Other times, certain things just shouldn't be said without the expectation of harsh rebuttal. In any case, I really enjoy snuson and all its members, and I hate to see anyone leave or get disgruntled over minor conflicts, we're all cool with each other damn near all of the time, and I thank each and all of you for that, and for everything else you all contribute. So to all those who hate snuson, me say BUMBACLAAT! Ras claat. (that was for you tim, I have a fairly epic Jamaican music collection if you ever want to trade music). Peace!

I think that about sums it up. I probably account for 90% of the "whackos, arguments, drugs, pornographic content, and [the] threads [that] get so off topic it's absurd", and if that really upsets someone I apologize. I have been having a lot of free time at work (which isn't a good sign lol) and so I tend to fill the time with browsing snuson and constantly replying to anything and everything.

I only frequent about 3 sites on the internet so i probably spend more time here than I should. But you know what? I think this group of people is probably the best group of guys i've ever run across in my travels and though i agree with some and disagree with others, i would gladly buy a beer for any guy here or help him out if he was low on snus any day of the week.

Getsnus and other snus forums focus just on snus and that's cool, but I really enjoy our conversations here in the "people and the world around us" section as well as the general snus categories. So as any self-rightious whacko would say, getsnus's forum can go to hell. If they need me, i'll be on snuson, flipping them off.

BUT......

You are something unique and valuable here. No one else is like you. And you are always honest. I may occasionally hate some of the stupider shit you occasionally come up with. But you have never been anything but complete wide open honest and straight up here about what you are..

And for that, my friend, I will forever have complete respect for you. You are as much as what makes Snuson just so unique and special as I am or anyone else here. Don't ever think otherwise.

Lol, your the man sage. Perhaps through the years my life has made me dense but that's just how I roll 8) And I doubt anyone here questions the fact that I make my opinions very clear, however whacky, off topic, and outside of reality they may be :lol:



So lets recap this pact act thing.

Pretty much nothing major is happening, even if it passes, other than people in rural areas will be f@<ked, and tobacco will cost more. Hmm. I should really quit this tobacco thing before i get old because by the time that comes around, I will be retired, living in a rural area and stuffing $50 pris's into my lip. But that's how I planned on going out anyways so no biggie.

They even changed the reason pot was illegal during WWII. They changed their stance from "Its illegal because it turns you into a wild animal" to, it makes you a pacifist and the Soviets will use it against our army". lol. Ridiculous. But really, those 2 documentaries are really very interesting and very enlightening.

Hopefully we can start a new thread soon and limit it to real discussion on the Pact Act. I think Jessie Ventura has hijacked this one. I would really like to see more comments from people working in the snus industry as their livelihood depends on getting straight facts on Pact. I did look at the UPS website and did not see anything about them refusing to ship snus, only cigarettes. They also have a $4.00 fee to make sure an adult 21 or over signs for the package. UPS is more expensive than USPS but you can probably absorb most of these extra charges by limiting yourself to just placing several larger orders than many smaller ones. I also also wondering if our selection will be cut short as certain manufacturers do not really seem to be focusing on the US market and will probably not do anything about complying with labeling requirements, etc... even if they seem reasonable to us.

Lastly, I would love to see some stores offering stock up sales, massive coupon discounts and free shipping. :lol:

While I hate the idea of the PACT act, it may help some swedish snus companies break into the US market. I've liked seeing some General products being sold around the US, but maybe once this passes itll push swedish match to roll out more of their brands here. Hopefully some others like v2 will follow behind. I guess we'll find out in the next few months...
