I'm not sure why I'm getting involved in this, BUT...

The police didn't need any reason to search blacks. I highly doubt that's why it was criminalized, unless your wording is just off. Blacks had just about the same rights as dogs and horses at that time. If the cops wated to search/arrest them, they did. Justification wasn't necessary, and they could do it at any time they liked. They didn't need any special laws to make it easier. It couldn't have gotten any easier unless the blacks arrested themselves :^D

Oh trust me brother, we're chillin over here in cali 8)

I think the medical pot industry here has been a great thing for our state. Almost no one uses it medicinally and anyone can get a prescription for it even if there's nothing wrong with you, and we are about to (hopefully) be the first state in the union to make it completely legal for anyone.

I have 2 friends that own cannibus clubs (several clubs all over CA and in other states actually) and I think the whole thing is awesome, though i quite smoking many years ago.

Bwhahahh. So true!!!! While I think racial issues may have been used as part of the push to criminalize it (it makes white women love negros, doncha know) I highly doubt that was the main reason for it. Most likely due to money. Like you said, no special laws were needed at the time to harrass black people for God's sake. ROFL.

                    I love waffles.

                    Don't really love racial profiling.

Waffles though, they're tops. Well-designed pancakes. Awesome.

I was browsing the getsnus forum the other day for the first time and someone said that snuson is riddled with self-righteous pricks, whackos, arguments, drugs, pornographic content, and our threads get so off topic it's absurd. Way to maintain the status quo people I, for one, think it's a great place, it's the only forum I care to visit, and I think overall that we're a very friendly, funny, and thoughtful lot. Sometimes someone might say something crazy, and if we aren't particularly familiar with that person's style, we might get out of hand with outrageous and unnecessary retorts. Other times, certain things just shouldn't be said without the expectation of harsh rebuttal. In any case, I really enjoy snuson and all its members, and I hate to see anyone leave or get disgruntled over minor conflicts, we're all cool with each other damn near all of the time, and I thank each and all of you for that, and for everything else you all contribute. So to all those who hate snuson, me say BUMBACLAAT! Ras claat. (that was for you tim, I have a fairly epic Jamaican music collection if you ever want to trade music). Peace!

Damnit! I tried to end this thread once.... IMO this has gone Wayyyyyy offtopic and become rather disturbing.

Requesting a lock and restart once Osama signs PACT into the law of the land...
