Agree. Whereas Camel has at least been useful in raising awareness of real snus this Marlboro dreck might well make people flee in terror from the mere mention of the word snus.
According to this, that's exactly the point of putting out "fake" snus.
i was at my local walmart lastnight. and they had all 4 flavors in boxes of 10 foil packs, but no singles. the "cartons" were like 7.80$ each... i have to atleast try the mild, but ill wait till find it in a single pack
i was on a long bicycle ride to my friends house. i forgot my can of 02 at home so i stopped at the 711 and they had the rich and one of the mint ones.. so i got the rich.. it was less than 2 dolllers than. first 2 sucked and i couldnt do them for much longer than 10 minutes, but than by the third. i kinda grew fond of the flavor.. but thats that. at least it was available when i had no svenskt snus.
I've had the mild-briefly. Tastes like candy--really bad candy. Can't comment on any nic level because I couldn't stand having one of the hyper-dry rough portions in more than a few seconds. Not a fair tryout perhaps but I've yet to try any Swedish snus, thirty or more now, that I couldn't at least tolerate for as long as it took to perceive the nicotine level. If I had never heard of the real thing I think that I would have reacted the same way. As an entry into the market not only has Marlboro not hit a home run but rather they have skinned the ball right into the catcher's mitt. One strike and they're out.
Compared to Marlboro the overly sweet weak Camel product version is ambrosia. Compared to such as Skruf Stark, General Mint, or Roda Lacket this Marlboro dreck is a felonious assault on our taste buds. Whatever grief Marlboro gets from the always clueless anti-tobacco zealots is well deserved.

QFT. They just handed what market their was to Camel on a silver platter. A lot of us don't use the camel much, if at all. But anyone who was looking into snus in the US has most likely become a "Camel Man".

I tried the Marlboro Spearmint this past weekend. It was like putting a mint flavored sugar cube in my mouth. The portions just looked and felt weird. The taste was fantastic though, but I expected that. I couldn't judge the nic hit, as I had just spit out a Claq, but I did get a headache, I think it was from the sugar. All in all, Camel Frost was better.
Funny I too tried Marlboro snus this weekend and I also spit out claq qui right before doing so. I tried the rich. Wayyyyyy to sweet, taste like and made my whole car smell like maple. I used two portions that night. Most likely I'll throw the rest away.
Damn, I said I'd try it if it were $1 or less, but you guys are scaring me. I don't know that I'd pay $1 for it now. Hell, that's a sausage burrito at McDonalds, and I know I like those :^D
It was $1.69 for a pack of six of them. I guess the package is child proof, as it took me awhile to open them. I say they're worth the try though, if anything it gives us a new "snus" to talk about!
Totally agree, I had to use scissors to open that shit.
lol, it was a pain in the ass! I'm gonna go back and get the other flavors too, one thing I noticed though, the ends of the pouches were sharp, very dry snus.
