I never noticed tbh, but I'm not very patient. I'll let them stay in the fridge overnight if I have time, but sometimes I'm using them within an hour after removing from the freezer :^D
+1 unless it's a cardboard can. Then I properly defrost it in the fridge a day or so.

I have an empty tin of Skruf and first thing after I wake up I take a few portions out of the freezer and I pop one in. So I usually let it thaw throughout the day. I don't notice any taste difference if I pop one in right out of the freezer or after it was in my tin all day.
I only +5 paperboard cans. Plastic cans get a -3 unless they are portions, then they get a -8.
When a paperboard can comes out of the freezer, it goes to the fridge to thaw. Plastic cans might get used immediately from the freezer, but they usually sit around a while. I never put an open can back in the freezer unless im not planning on finishing it. Never really paid attention to how it tastes or if it changes after thawing.
Oh great, so now I am supposed to thaw them out! I just open the freezer and bob for snus, frosty eyebrows and all! Actually I just took a roll of Grov and a roll of general and just placed the portions in a heavy duty freezer bag, just unzip and have one. No more room for extra cans!
due to limited freezer space, I keep a high percentage of my stash in a mini fridge. I really don't notice any discernible difference between snus that has been refrigerated > 6 months vs. snus that has been frozen for the same length of time then left to thaw for a day or two. I recently used a tin of lucky's with a best before date of oct., that had been chilling in my fridge the entire time without issue.
I'll usually pull a fresh can out of the freezer and toss it in the fridge overnight before using it. Snus I don't use frequently (usually portions) i'll just keep in the freezer and take one out whenever I feel the need without thawing. Los I always keep in the fridge to defrost in order to prevent weird moisture saturation if any ice crystals formed previously, and then will usually pull the can out and keep it at room temp if I know i'll use it up within a week or so. I find room temp los much easier to bake and tastier than refrigerated los, but that's just me.
If you need to thaw your snus faster, use the cold water method. Immerse your packaged snus (make sure there are no tears in the packaging) in ice-cold water. You need to change the water every 30 minutes to keep it cold and allow about 30 minutes of thawing time per pound of snus.
Some readers may have trouble calculating the tricky equation "30 minutes per pound," so here is a handy reference:
* 8 to 12 pounds: 4 to 6 hours
* 12 to 16 pounds: 6 to 8 hours
* 16 to 20 pounds: 8 to 10 hours
* 20 to 24 pounds: 10 to 12 hours
If you use the cold water method, you should pop your snus as soon as it is thawed.
I would put water in the top of the can, you know in the top of the lid, and let it sit there for an houre or so, dont know if it did any good, but i could use it witout any problems after that!
I have to agree with a lot of people on this thread. I usually just pull a can out of the freezer, bake a prilla, and pop it in. Never have noticed a taste difference in straight from the freezer and "aged" for a few days. Cheaper snus with an extremely strong ammonia smell like rothbrix does tend to smell better after a couple of days though.
Out of the freezer, and into my mouth. I don't that at all. I love the few seconds of coolness when I stick a portion in fro the freezer. And I notice no taste difference either.
+1
For the few brands I have, this is my experience also. I've even used los straight from the freezer.
Hey everyone. I ordered a sampler not that long ago and I put the tins I haven't opened inside freezer bags and threw them in the freezer. I guess the...
