liberals love non-profit jobs that they have to force into creation cause they would never make money as a private business.
if this tax would help legit causes, like road construction, schools, something of that nature i could grudingly be talked into it.
but to create non-profit money holes that just grow and grow and grow??
obama needs some balance, hopefully the GOP can gain some house seats.

Problem solved. Instead of taxing tobacco, grow it, then produce and manufacture it into products to sell. It's that simple.

If I can pull it off, I'm dead serious. I've been following some of the fine threads and examples by others on their "Grow your own" success. I'm just clueless on where the hell to start and what seeds to obtain.

With that said, PM on the way. Thanks.

I don't see why it matters to you personally. Who buys their tobacco in state? Always always order online. No taxes.

Hey guys! I'm coming for an exchange semester to the great state of Pennsylvani in January next year and I was wondering how's the snus situation there with the taxes and availability? Is it just online or is there some stores for example in Pittsburgh that sell snus? Where do you guys mostly order online?

Taxes are minimal in PA. Maybe someone can help with the B&M scene, but you can order online from the usual suspects. Catch is you have to be 21 to sign for the package. If you aren't, you need to find someone who is that can sign for you.

I've never been carded by the UPS guy either. But then again I'm well past that age but still get carded occasionally buying beer. I'm pretty sure tho in most cases these guys are on such a time table that if you were under 21 but looked at least 18 and fumbled around enough looking for your ID they'd just let you sign and be done with it at this point. I mean all the sights run a real verification. Just more BS for them and us to deal with........

I have a friend that used to be a UPS driver. She said they were timed down to the second on everything. So most of them are in a hurry to get the package out and get moving. However, they did card me once last year and I couldn't produce ID lol. I called them and raised hell on Twitter and got it re-routed to my friends house across town.

I have never understood the obsession with IDing the hell out of people in the US, is it the clerk on a power trip? They are only about 18 or so yet have the cheek to ask me to prove I am over 21 when it is quite obvious that I am! Gggrrrrrrrrrr!!

Here in the UK most supermarkets are meant to have a think 21 or think 25 policy for buying alcohol, if you look younger than either they are meant to ID you (legal age to buy is 18), never seen it happen once and I have seen some questionable people buying ale!! lol Last time I was ID'ed was about 16 years ago and that was buying cigarettes when you (at the time) had to be 16 to buy them!

It's because we're a nation of prudes, and though we talk a good game about freedom, we don't practice it. Stings are routinely run to bust shops selling to minors, and there can be serious penalties for violations, including losing licensing, and if you're a clerk, personal fines, and loss of job. It's breaking us in to the growing police state, and breeds mistrust and division amongst the population.

Just dye your hair grey. You won't be carded. Believe me!

Ah well, when I was 15 I was able walk into a pub, order a beer, smoke a cigarette, and nobody cared, really nobody cared the least, despite the fact that all the underage drinking and smoking laws already were enacted, and despite the fact that I really didn't look older than I was ... and the world probably wasn't better than it is today but it definitly wasn't worse.

Modern times have much more in common with the Nazi empire than with anything that can be called freedom. The general submisseveness, the common believe to be ruled by wise people who care for our well-being and not by people who just care to fill their own pockets, really is beyond me.

                                Cheers!
