          @ snusify. I agree completely.

They gave the Dr a fare shake, and he seemed to be the only credible person they had on the segment, but you are correct in saying that the tobacco nazi blubber boat painted a worse case scenario (duel user, rofl) and then the ONLY snuser they interviewed was an example of worst case scenario.

Not fiar but at least the Dr there was legit. Does it strike anyone else as odd that the snuser they used (molestash guy) used real swedish snus AND camel snus? I just find it odd that he would be snusin some general and then put in some camel and see it as equivalent, when camel snus is obviously lacking.

Yeah I should probably take this early opportunity to apologize to our future friend. Dude, sorry for calling you a donkey. Sign up so we can recommend some better snus and get to the bottom of this tooth-brushing nonsense.

Actually they interviewed a swedish game show host(?) who said he just switched from a pack of smokes to snus overnight

The American snuser guy might have been an actor.

                    I've been thinking this too.

Unless they held a competition to find such an addict - which is pretty unreal considering it's an american user.

                      Classified Ad Read as follows:

Looking for douchebag to appear on national television news show. Must be a crazed nicotine addict who uses cigarettes and snus simultaneously and fits the wackjob profile we are tying to portray.

That rings true. Why would you have a tin of General and a tin of Camel.
Now I haven't tried Camel but I understand it's pathetic.
Now - a user of General would NEVER have a can of Camel. Full stop.

Especially the nicotine whore that he's supposed to be.

That guy's an odd one. Maybe he likes Camel. I don't mind the occasional one every so often, but I won't be replacing my 3 tin stash when it's gone. The point is, Camel really isn't as horrible as people make it sound. Sure it tastes like candy, but you like candy, right? :^D I could see someone interspersing their daily routine with Camel. I'm not that someone, but I sure they're out there.

It could also have been used under artistic license. 60 Minutes may have wanted to show the big American product in the segment. Honestly people aren't going to find General anywhere. They'll go to the drugstore, and the 7-11, but come up empty handed, and wonder what the hell 60 minutes was talking about. Showing someone using Camel will plant the product in people's heads, and they'll know what the show's about.

                            Fair point.

But wouldn't someone who is so into nicotine be ordering the stuff online - like us? The whole thing just doesn't sit right with me.

Okay, maybe I just have a strange imagination, but did Mr. Mustache remind anyone else of the guy from the Northerner's Christmas adverts a couple years back?

Wasn't he using General mini mints? I haven't tried Camel either, but I have a tried one mini mint, and in my not-so-popular opinion I thought it too was pathetic. I think it's possible that he is a regular Camel user (they're out there, someone is buying that crap although I've never seen it happen), and he recently discovered General at the cigar store, and being the Camel-grubbing ninny that he is, thought the mini mint would suit him best (and he was right), and with such a fledgling snus habit, he not surprisingly needs to smoke a pack a day, just like Joe Camel wants him to. I believe I have offended a multitude of mini mint and Camel fans, not to mention mustache boy again. Sorry 'bout that.
