The only manufacturer that have done so are; Swedish Match, Skruf/Imperial, Gotlandssnus, V2 and TillCe. I have contacted both JTI and BAT several times and they told me that they have no intention of register their brands in the US because of possible conflicts with their US organizations. Gellivare never even replied to my request. Gajane might do it but have not given any more information when it will be done.
This is what we've got so far. It's subject to change of course, and references Northerner in particular. There may be some luck slipping stuff through from other suppliers, but I'd suggest anyone who does keep their mouths shut about it.

              FDA

JTI owns the "LD" trademark in the USA. It's just not a priority for them now, I should think.

Larry from SnusCentral met a rep from Skruf at a recent US tradeshow. When Imperial bought Commonwealth Brands a few years ago, their CEO expressed a desire to do snus in the USA. And if it's been registered with the FDA, it's a strategic decision.

And that means they'll be more interested in bricks & mortar availability through Commonwealth's distribution system than in selling to a few people over the Internet.

Imperial Tobacco, makers of Skruf and Knox
                        by Guest
Imperial Tobacco is the parent company of Skruf (pronounced 'Skroof' and Knox brands of Swedish snus. Skruf is probably the second most popular snus brand in Sweden and one of the top most popular snus brands in the growing American market.

Skruf was started by two life long friends who saw an opportunity to make a big future for a small product - Jonas Engwall and Adam Gillberg.

Life long friends and entrepreneurs, Jonas and Adam, sat down in 2001 to discuss how they could use their skills gained in the world of finance to build a business in an area they were passionate about.
