General Mint added to SM's US lineup?

Hey guys, I hadn't seen this posted yet--is SM going to add the large mini portion to their US lineup? I went to the local tobacco shop this week and noticed they were giving out samples of the mint portions to customers. I talked with one of the employees to see if they had some cans for sale and he told me that they received a few rolls with their last shipment and they would be selling it as soon as they sold out of the mini portions (I'm not really sure the reasoning behind that though). Is this a nationwide addition to the five types that they're already selling through B&M retailers (original, white, mini mint, los, and wintergreen)?

Yes. General Mint Large is being added to the American lineup. Mini Mint won't being going away either.

I have introduced quite a few americans who have used mint such as grizzly mint, skoal mint, etc and they fell in love with General White Mint portions and say it is much better.

I love them. regarding salt I find that once you have you been using snus for a while you rarely taste the salt in any snus.

Have you tried the mini mint? You certainly get much less of the salt and tobacco taste from those, but I like just a little more "oomph" in my portions. I wasn't a huge fan myself, but after coming from Timberwolf Wintergreen pouches to snus, I've tried to stray from my old minty, sweet flavors (yuck!). In a head-to-head battle with Camel frost, General mint wins hands down IMO--the portion material is like silk compared to sandpaper on my gums.

The new sample packs they're giving out still have four -- General White was replaced by General Mint. However, both General Los and White are still available to retailers.

to be honest, it did remind me of skoal mint or something.

it might be the perfect transitional product to switch from dip to snus in the US.

              how does General WG taste?

General WG tastes like copenhagen WG however not as strong in flavour.
