60 mins CBS on snus my thoughts.

Here is a bit on 60 mins about snus. I have mixed feelings about it. I give them props that they actually showed a perspective that snus is much safer than cigarettes, HOWEVER, they stilllll set it up to make snus look bad in my opinion.

They start off with the interview showing a guy who never quit smoking with snus. He is a duel user smoking a pack of cigs a day and snusing half a can. That in itself is not a good thing to show. Its showing that people are going to use both. And of course at the end they show american anti tobacco groups telling people their concerns about duel use lol.

but still im glad they gave some good information which is not typical for the news on tobacco

It will just go off topic, that's how SnusOn rolls! To stay on topic, my grandma saw the show, and called my mom and told her all about the wonders of snus, I was shocked. My mom just told her she had heard of it and told her I've been using it for awhile now and it helped me quit smoking. I didn't see it, but evidently they didn't show snus in that much of a negative light for my grandma to except it.

Thats actually nice to hear. Someone who had not heard of snus, watched the piece (which did contain a more negative slant, but did contain the positives), and she came away with wanting to tell her loved ones about the positives. Tell your grandma I am very proud of her. VERY PROUD!!! I would expect most non tobacco users that saw that piece to still walk away saying, its tobacco, its BAD!!!!

Yea, it shocked the hell out of me. She's very anti smoking, offered me 100 dollars years ago if I could quit for a year. (I should ask her if that offer still stands :wink: ) My mom ordered some months ago, Some Thunder Frosted minis, various Discreets, and a General White mini. She didn't stick with it, and the cans are still in the freezer. I took one of the Thunder Minis during one of the great Frosted Dry spells we had a couple months ago. I'm gonna keep trying to get her to give it an honest try though. I know she can quit with them.
