Grov snus

Amen to that. My can of Flader had only one portion missing when I gave it away.

Just took out my first portion of Grov Svart after one hour in. Odd powerful taste--smokey, aggressive, much more than a hint of anise. Aftertaste still lingering after 40 minutes. Had with coke but may work much better with coffee. Good nic hit.

They certainly are better with coffee. The black portion packs a nice punch but it definitely has a different taste rather than just a stronger flavor. I think the tobacco itself isn't robust enough to handle the added flavor yet still keep it even.

The portions are something different. I taste the tobacco base more and that immediately makes me think of earthiness. I get leather, smoke, a little sweetness but a dark sweetness...almost caramelized, earth, even a little woodiness. It also has a full or rich body. I also think because of the fact that tobacco base is more perceptible it makes for a finished product that is better than the sum of it's parts. For this reason I wish they made a real big cut of tobacco. I might have a good mind to order some of the Grov flavorings and have a go at it myself.

I get nothing but salt and tobacco from Grov. That's why I like it so much, I hold those two things very close to my heart. Interestingly enough, I don't use much Grov anymore, I carry on with the free cans I get from Getsnus and never order it. I need to get back to it.

As I have another one of the Grov Svart black portions in right now I can say that not only am I smelling a chemically cologne-ish vibe, but it tastes like cologne now, too. Did I get a bad can or something? Eh... I'm not digging this snus.

I never got a cologne smell/taste from svart, and I used the shit out of it, when I used strong portions to quit smoking. I have just ordered a can for nostalgia and I am starting to worry that it will taste like shit and destroy my fond memories of the stuff. Oh well, the op and los are both golden.
