I truly apologize for bringing this topic up again. Right before the bill got signed, I received a snus order. Does anyone have any vague idea on how long I have to *safely* place another order?

June 29th is D Day. You will probably have a couple of months after that before the government actually gets their shit together....maybe not, but it goes into effect June 29th

You sure about that June 29th? I've seen June 20th in a number of places, not that the one week makes a whole bunch of difference. Besides, except for Northerner exclusives, I can still keep buying from Buysnus, because I really don't think customs is as vigilante as Frank believes they are. I highly doubt that they're going to blacklist companies, and be able to stop every package coming from them.

They still can't stop most shipments of Cubans coming through, or drugs, or a number of other banned products. I don't see PACT really having any teeth.

Me too. I like to hope for the best. Else I guess it will be giving up nicotine (not likely in reality) or back to cigarettes or american snuff. Im not really planning to buy marlboro or camel snus whatsoever.

As a side note, I tried some grizzly snuff for the first time this week when I made a mistake on when to order snus. Its pretty good really.

Agreed. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Being a member of a cigar forum where it is apparent to me that hundreds of boxes of per se illegal Cuban cigars pass through customs untouched on a daily basis. I'd be mighty pissed if this saw tighter enforcement.

One thing I will add though. Those cigar guys are very careful about not publicly naming their overseas sources on a forum.

Perhaps snusers should make it a point of not publicly discussing overseas suppliers?

Count me as part of that demographic, too.

Passing a law and enforcing that law can often be two entirely different mammals. And the more I read through this one, it looks like one of those very ambitious laws that, when put into practice, will prove very difficult to administer and enforce.

Although I don't think it's too likely everyone will stop naming the suppliers they order from who aren't complying, I'd like to see it happen as well. It might make things a bit more difficult for a noob, but when you're dealing with something in a legal grey area, it's best to not tell people you don't know where to get it. It's only a little bit of googling, and keeping quiet about things can keep the rest of us snussing happily for a lot longer.

I plan on stocking up through May and June just to be safe. I have a vendor down here that sells snus, but it's pricey. Will keep ordering online as per normal, but really want to save the few extra duckets while I can.
