I gave up hand baking

Pinch from the can, drop onto tongue, tongue push under lip = massive nicotine rush, and immense flavour. fast way to enjoy lös.

Pinch from the can push under lip= faster delivery than handbaked more flavour.

Carefully handbaked = slow release of flavour slow release of nicotine and takes time to bake.

So now I have opted to hillbilly it all the time now. quick and no fuss and full flavoured. Tongue baking is also great.

i have taken this route as well. you just summed up my hillbilly description from the dipper's guide to snus.

it all ends up the same in the end. formed against the gums and sitting there in the lip

i do a combo of both dependant on the setting.
preferably i like to do a quick hand bake, i usually get a good pris against the side of the can then tidy it up in my palm.
phantom i never hand bake, same with LD just outta the can.

Pinching and condensing the snus against the inside of the can is my method, similar to this guy:

Can anyone handbake or pinch Gellivare? i said in my half-ass review of Gellivare that I wouldn't even try to bake it. So just now I opened the tin for the first time in a couple weeks, remembered saying that, and grabbed a little pyramid pinch like I would with any other snus. I packed it on my palm a little, got it into something that looked like it would hold, raised it up to my lip, and the whole little wad broke up onto fine crumbles and fell right out of my grip until there was nothing left when it got to my mouth. Snusdog, how do you use it?

I /can/ do it after a fashion, but it takes too much effort, with too much slop. IceTool FTW!

I bake the L and G. It works fine, it just sticks to your fingers like tree sap. You have to brush them off on your pant leg or on a friend's shoulder.

Lower lipping also works well with L and G, and that doesn't require hand-baking.

i also have baked both of them, but it took a few minutes, a bit of precision, and was a huge mess. i use an icetool with em now.

The pinch & compress against the can method is one of my favorites. I'll handbake some prillas every day but it only takes me like 30 seconds to get it good enough before i pop it in. I'm not that picky

Hillbilly style is the way to go in my opinion. Just pinch it and throw it in, upper or lower deck. I tried handbaking a couple of times in the beginning, but it wasn't worth it for me. Maybe becuase I am used to dipping.
