General Wintergreen vs. General Mint

Hey Folks,

It's coming up on Portion Time again. I want to take GetSnus up on the offer for the General hat and coffee mug when buying two rolls of either mint or wintergreen. I usually buy Wintergreen by the roll, but am thinking about going with Mint this time, just for giggles. But I can't decide.

I'm wondering: Of those of you who have tried and like both General Mint and General Wintergreen, which do you feel is the better snus, if either?

General Snus

I've tried both and I like the mint a lot better. It just seems smoother, but the burn is more pronounced. I didn't care for the wintergreen, I couldn't finish one can, but I've gone through a few of the mint, but that's just me.

The mint is just very "artificial" tasting...very sweet. Although infinately better than Camel Frost, it is still directed in that way. Its good, but for me too sweet and artificial for a roll buy. General Wintergreen? Forgetaboutit - I buy that stuff by the TON! :lol:

I would email them and see if you can just get 1 roll of each. both flavors qualify for the offer. doesnt hurt to ask.

i ordered a sampler from them and it went to backorder. i emailed the as to why and they replied because one of the flavors was backordered so i asked if i could get another flavor instead and they said yes. told them the flavor i wanted and it was shipped.

I have tried both. The General mint is OK but will wear on you very quickly. A can of these is generally good for about 2-3 months for an occasional evening mint. The wintergreen smells and taste like toothpaste on steroids and should never be used. So go for the mint or better yet opt for the General Original. The Original is always good.

The 1 roll of each idea is good, and i'm sure they'd be happy to accommodate you. As far as which I think is a better snus, i'd say the mint. The portions don't have issues with breaking like the WG do, and the flavor is, imo, more complex than the wintergreen's. They are pretty sweet, but I wouldn't say sweeter than the WG, and as far as the taste being "artificial" i don't think either has much of that issue unless you keep a portion in for 2 hours +. Lol, which one is the worst out of the 2 suckiest flavors ever made? I would say the wintergreen sucks more so the mint is the lesser of two evils.

General Mint is tolerable, but I actually like General Wintergreen, so it wins. I prefer Thunder Wintergreen though, probably because of the bigger kick and less overpowering wintergreen flavor.

I've been a GW fiend for some time now. Pretty much the past 6 months.

The General Mint is neck and neck with the GW for me. As it sounds you may have a bit of the GW already on hand, go for it!

General Mint is a great flavored snus. I found it to taste much better than any American Mint Dip. This is one of my favorite snuses to date.

I prefer Wintergreen as it as a cleaner taste to me over the mint, which I find pretty sweet. Only problem with the WG is the portion bag that's prone to breaking. Maybe SM has corrected that by now.

I find both to be delicious desert snus. Mint makes you smell as if you are not using any tobacco product whatsoever, handy at times. Wintergreen is my favorite flavor of the two if I had to pick. The WG pouch seems slightly more susceptible to breakage but I go through a lot of this snus and really it has only opened on me if I am practically chewing on the thing.
