Exactly. I don't know how these two sneese originated, but that is def. all it is now: roda=prima+prune juice. Personally, I'm not that into prune juice, so I prefer the fint.

And my parents never bought me any of these cereals when I was a kid. This is probably why I often skip breakfast as an adult. And probably why I would consider something like prima fint to be so much better than roda lacket.

BooBerry always gave me green poop. I suspect that's why it wasn't as widespread as the other 2. It was always a rare treat to see it pop up in a store :^)

Green poop ftw!... or not. Prima Fint is funny, for a while there I was in the "where's the flavor" camp, but the last two times I had it, it knocked my socks off. One time I literally took half the pris out of my mouth. Next time it'll be a small pris and we'll see. Very strange, but I sure can't say it didn't have any flavor--or punch.

^Agree with you there. I find myself using a gram or less of prima most of the time, whereas I really like a bigger pinch of most other varieties. The nicotine seems to come on in a different way, and the flavor works better if given some time to develop.

The flavor is def. there also, just in a very subtle way that probably doesn't appeal to fans of flavored varieties. It's just sweet tobacco and salt. Works best in small quantities.

That's a relief. I thought everyone would think I'm crazy. I think the finer grind is responsible for the nicotine delivery; it's the carburetor principle. The smaller particles mean more surface area, thus more nicotine at once. I dunno, maybe not, since the contact area is the same, but that's my guess.

It *is* a subtle thing, and snus, and I guess nicotine, after eight months is very different for me than snus after one month. I barely smoke any more, and as much as I love General ES, it's just about too much for me. I'd like to try Skruf ES, but what would be the point? I don't think I could enjoy it, but it would have been a good thing for me when I was first dealing with the heavy cigarette habit.

Getting back to flavor, one of the first things I noticed was how, after a while, I could actually taste (and enjoy) Roda Lacket portions. Now a lot of flavors are coming out more, and I expect they will continue to do so. Some snus I'm liking more and more, and others not so much. I also seem to go through phases. Right now I'm kind of sick of Ettan, and liking Grov a lot; before long it will probably swing back the other way. This is about the third time so far.

                  TMI.

I guess it's a good thing I wasn't eating a big 'ol bowl of BooBerry while reading this. :P

Actually, Boo Berry was pretty good in the 70's. The other 2 were better.

Tobacco was cheaper too. I remember paying 75 cents for a pack of Marlboro.

Chewing is definitely not a new way of enjoying tobacco - it is a rather old tradition - but the new, modern Nordic Chew is more like snus than traditional chewing tobacco. It looks the same way as Swedish snus and comes in loose form or in portions. ...
