    SnusX concoctions

Have any of you guys tried the SnusX portion buckets over at Northerner, and if so, what kind of flavor combinations have you tried out? After doing my math I figured that price per can of snus would come out to $1.29 with one of these babies and at 25 bucks it'd be enough snus to last me over 2 months.

I didn't get into snus early enough to experience the Offroad coffee/vanilla and it sounds like something I'd dig so I'm thinking about buying both the coffee and vanilla flavors at Northerner and taking a shot at making my own. V2 makes the SnusX bucket so it probably wouldn't be much different - just a whole lot cheaper. Vanilla coke sounds like a good idea, too, however.

I've made cherry+coke, vanilla+coke and citrus. so far I've only liked the citrus as it works better with the portions that seem to be a bit bitter.

I didn't buy any of the flavors.

I will pick up the bergomot next time I hit The Northerner though.

I have had great success using two parts Wild Turkey whiskey, one part Plymouth gin, and one part filtered water.

I made one can's worth, let it set for two days, and then started using. Came out great to my tastes.

I did get a tad on the soggy side. I left the lid off overnight and problem was solved.

I've actually taken a few portions to use as refreshers in stale cans of snus. Take one snuX portion, get it soggy in with the liquid of your choice and toss it in any can of snus that's lost it's freshness. In a day the wet portion gives up some moisture to the rest of the can and BLAM a refreshed can of whatever portions.

I plan on trying some more combos soon with my tub of snusX. I'm going to experiment with the ph by adding some baking soda to the liquid next time. Hopefully I get a sterk effect.

That baking soda idea is interesting. Let me know how that works as I'm a sterk man myself.

I'm wary to try the SnusX kit, simply because I'd be tempted to use booze to flavor it and I'm not sure what the effects of the changing Ph and contact with alcohol would do to the nicotine content of said snus. I'm not exactly a chemist.

I would be interested in formulating a high pH snus, preferably in the 9.0-9.3 range. I'm worried I would add too much though, resulting in gum erosion.

Anyone think smoke and whiskey would be a good flavor combo on these things? :? Trying to decide what all flavors I want to order.
