    Swedish Match Los Storage

Hey guys. I ordered a few cans of Ettan and Grov los a few days ago. Fairly intrigued to give los a shot. I'm just wondering how all of you store your cardboard los cans in the freezer and how they hold up. I'd rather not keep them in the fridge since I'm afraid I won't run through but about a can every 2 or 3 weeks.

I keep mine in freezer bags in the freezer(same as all my snus). I'd suggest keeping your in use can in the fridge though. I'm not sure how well it'll last open for 2-3 weeks, but if you have an old Gotland tin, that would be perfect to swap the paperboard snus into.

I've been working on a 1 can each of Ettan and General los for way too long now. They've been open in my fridge for maybe 8 weeks? The cans are fine, although there is wax in my snus.

What lxs said is good: swap the snus into a plastic can. You could even just put 20 or so grams in the plastic tin and leave the rest in the freezer.

The fiberboard tins do not lose moisture in the freezer more than plastic cans, in my experience, because they are frozen.

However, I recently removed all of my snus from tins, triple bagged it by brand and put it in gladlock containers. I have close to 50 cans in 3 deep dish containers. I did this mainly because I have a constant stream of roommates moving in and out of my house and they are always asking me where they are supposed to keep their Popsicles and hot pockets, being that the freezer is full of my "dip". Who wants to eat Popsicles when their is tobacco to be used?

Don't go directly from freezer to room temperature. The condensation will make the can soft.

Go freezer to fridge to use later. Then don't worry about it. It won't get skunky or nasty too much. It may dry out a tad if you leave it in the original can.

Just add a few drops of water or bourbon when it gets sandy. Shake it like it owes you money and leave it sit in the fridge over night. VOILA! Just a drop or three or eight depending on what you choose to rehydrate it.

The flavor will slip after a week or two. That's why I recommend whiskey to liven it up after it gets too try to make a pris.

I don't have any issues with the los. I freeze cans naked in the freezer, defrost overnight in the fridge and they dont see refrigeration once they're open. Never had a problem doing it this way and I usually take about a week to finish one can.

i have nekkid cans chilling in the freezer in a plastic grocery sack.
working on about a month old cans right now, i just crack a new can straight outta the freezer
no problem...then i'll fridge it as i'm working thru the can.
a chilled prilla of ettan is great in the AM on the way to work with coffee
