Kardus is available at Buysnus for anyone willing to pay $60.00 for the equivalent of two cans. I am not ordering but thought someone might be interested.

well aint that some shit. comes out right after christmas.
the only incentive for me to have requested someone to buy this for me has just passed!
what the hell are they thinking? who feels like buying gift items after spending a shitload on the holidays?

My guess would be that they didn't sell as much "ultra exclusive" snus boxes as they thought they would thus they are now available at Buysnus. I wanted to try out some Kardus but the marketing hype on this is just crazy. No snus is worth $30.00 a tin to me. Oh well.Originally posted by RealmofOpethwho feels like buying gift items after spending a shitload on the holidays?

Me :^POriginally posted by RealmofOpethwho feels like buying gift items after spending a shitload on the holidays?
I got an email this morning giving advance notice of it appearing on their site. I don't know how much they have, so I thought I'd wait until this evening in case others got the email, and wanted to buy some. I picked up a box of Kardus, and an IceTool. I used UPS per their recommendation, and that was about $28 :^O. Better safe than sorry though. I don't mind paying that for some special snus. I've dropped well over that for a nice bottle of scotch. It's about what you'd expect to pay for a very nice dinner out, and I don't go on very nice dinners out, so I have to spend my money on something :^P

Good luck using your icetool with kardus, it's impossible from what I rememberOriginally posted by lxskllrI picked up a box of Kardus, and an IceTool.
Hmm it is tempting though. I have a birthday at the beginning of feb.....maybe I can persuade someone to get me some if it doesn't sell out.
In fact why not just get a roll, it's a bargain at a measly $700

I got the IceTool to use with Landströms really. It was a convenient time to order because it fit in my shipping weight. I've been using a cutoff syringe to use the Landströms, and that works pretty well. Otherwise it's a huge issue getting it in my mouth without wearing most of it :^DOriginally posted by phishGood luck using your icetool with kardus, it's impossible from what I rememberOriginally posted by lxskllrI picked up a box of Kardus, and an IceTool.

come to think of it, i'd rather try the stuff before buying. i don't care how premium they like to call it, i have to make sure before spending over twice the amount i normally pay for other good snus.
i also couldn't see myself ever buying this even if it is real good. only if it was a gift or had some nice drugs laced in it and made it last a long time, would i be elated to have it. i'm not a big fan of all that rich-bitch image and price tag. like fancy restaurants that charge over $100 a plate....it's FOOD....good greif. or some other exhorbitant amount for other everyday-things. sometimes that whole 'sophisticated' bullshit is primarily just there to further inflate people's already monstrous egos.

You're not paying for an image, you're paying for something special that you'll never see again. The price isn't out of line for a handcrafted product that comes out once a year. I've payed over $160 for scotch and I got full value out of the purchases. It's something I get every year or 2, and while it may not be $130 better than a $30 scotch, it's guaranteed to be a unique experience that won't be duplicated anywhere else(even from the same distillery). I'm expecting the Kardus to last me about 2 months considering the way I use lös snus. That's about $35 per month shipped, and I'll have a snus experience that I'll never have again in my life. Next years Kardus won't be the same, because it's made different every year. Everybody has their own fiscal priorities, but I don't mind having a unique experience for less money than a cup of crappy coffee costs ;^)
One other thing... When you buy at a certain level, there's no question of whether it's good or not. This isn't gonna be Phantom snus. It'll be the best product that a craftsman can produce. Just like scotch, I haven't bought a bad whiskey since the first bottle I got(which was about $20 btw). When you pay $30+ for your whisky it will be good, because you know it was crafted, and not just thrown out there for bar fodder ;^)

I know what you're saying. it's more of a completist/enthusiast type thing. The problem comes where my taste buds cannot taste that much more worth in what it cost. I can only taste so much. So while it is unique, there's only how good it can get. I duno. Like I say, I'd still have to try it.Originally posted by lxskllrYou're not paying for an image, you're paying for something special that you'll never see again. I know it's not going to be bad, that's not what i was saying, it's that I'd have to make sure how good it is per the money spent.
I mean unless you're heavily involved and make it your life to try these things out, it's still sort of an image/pride thing for others. People don't buy several thousand dollar wine half the time because they know how to taste and savor all the nuances and wine is their life. They buy it because they can and they think it looks cool doing so..Of course they'll be like 'hey that's some pretty damn good wine'...but does it warrant the redunkulous price tag? I mean, some things just are...they may be high quality and all that, but's thats all they are, higher quality versions of the same shit...but it becomes deified through a price and a not-so-common process of making it.

Yea, that's cool. I can understand that sentiment. I don't have much in the way of expensive habits or vices. I figure I can make up for it by getting my vices in the premium version LoL. I could easily spend over $50 a night at the pub, but I really don't go out that much. I make up for it by getting nice esoteric beer and spirits from the liquor store. I also like having things that are unique. It may sound stupid, but just knowing that the Kardus is limited will make it taste better. Most of life's experiences embody the mental as well as the physical. Whether it's food, drink, or sex, the mind makes up a large part of the enjoyment(or not) of your chosen pleasure.

well i don't mind paying a little extra, sometimes double for really high quality stuff. but when the cost is several times more, it begs the question if the quality/experience of using it is several times more.Originally posted by lxskllrYea, that's cool. like million dollar cars. they're cars. do they make me feel several hundred times better using them? i don't know. I never tried it. but I don't see myself buying a million dollar car, when I could say take that money and buy a couple more worthy things like a helicopter or airplane.
otherwise when i've spent a lot on something because i'd like to know that i 'have' it, i often find myself feeling guilty later and wondering what the hell i was thinking. I bought a lot of expensive 'unique' stuff of ebay. Now I have no real interest in it. If I regularly got enjoyment out of it, that's where I feel like it was money well spent. otherwise, the novelty factor wears off and then I feel like a sucker.

I don't buy expensive shit that is nothing more then a marketing scheme. They have to at least show me its worth something more then the better priced stuff. I wouldn't buy a $25.00 pack of smokes and I won't spend that much for snus either. Nothing against those that will.
