    Nick and Johnny - discontinued?

Someone claimed that N&J løs is being discontinued.

Is this true - and if so, where can this information be verified?

FYI, buysnus.com just sent an email out this morning mentioning it:

The popular Nick and Johnny Loose weight snus are not selling so well within Sweden and therefore has Swedish Match decided to discontinue the production. Note that it is only the loose weight snus that will be discontinued, NOT the portion-packed.

We have bought some extra but hurry we do not have so many!

Bizarre, taking into account the fact that Nick and Johnny is among the six most popular brands in Norway, according to Swedish Match themselves.

I still cannot bring myself to believe that the production of this snus is being ceased entirely, so tomorrow I will call Swedish Match to confirm whether it is true or not.

What a tragedy if it disappears from the market.

It's already out of stock at http://www.swedishsnus.com . So, this seems to be true.

N&J lös is a very good snus, not one of my favorites, but I'm really shocked, that it gets discontinued.

        Cheers!

          *invents new swear words*

This was on my list of brands to try! I don't have the money right now to order any either. (wife would shoot me anyways, I have 12 tins in a small apartment freezer/fridge) :P

Those mother****ers. I can't believe my favorite loose is being discontinued.

Guess it's Skruf Stark for me from now on. Good stuff, yeah, but still. It's just not the same.

wow i can not believe this. This was one of my favorite snus. I really can not believe they are discontinuing this seeing how popular it has been on this board. I mean at least just discontinue the portion and not the loose, not the other way around. bummer

I'd add my name to it. I must say that I'm pretty pissed off about this too and considering how popular N and J los seems to be, I think SM are making a mistake.

N&J is not popular in Sweden, where it origins from, and since BuySnus, Swedish Snus, Northerner++ are located in Sweden, they can't distribute a snus wich is discontinued. It was my favorite too, a few months back, but I'll rather stick with Ettan

Will it be taken off the market here in Norway too? I'd better get my hands on one last box of it, then Just gotta love the cold feeling it gives The taste, however, is not among the best, imo. The portions taste way better, very much alike Oliver Twist original.

Just thinking, this is probably highly related to the release of general sterk....

                        Ughhhhhhh.

are they just gonna call it "Nick" from now on. Guess I shoulda gotten a few more rolls.

Now Im gonna have to "hillbilly" Knox or Kronon instead.

We should put together a letter to the SM, why not just scale down production to suit the market instead of axing the whole line?

We should do the petition. I can't believe they'd discontinue such a great product. I mean, yeah, I'll try the portions, but this was the first loose brand that I fell in love with. I had no desire at all to order the portions. The loose was just fantastic. Portions just won't be the same. Maybe if they made maxi portions, but the little 1 gram portions won't be as satisfying as a big pris of loose.

I ordered one last roll today. Such sadness.

Skruf Stark from now on if they don't bring back N&J. And if Stark loose somehow bites the dust as well (Skruf would have to be suicidal to even ponder doing such a thing), I will be a very, very sad man.

The portions don't taste anything like the lös to me. I think Onyx is closer in flavor than the N & J portions were.

I also think phish might be onto something. SM might want to keep their strong version under the General name, and they'll re-release N & J, except it'll be Sterk lös.

Well at least the portions are still around, whew.
