Received a package from buysnus today. I'd ordered a can of N&J loose, they gave me a can of Diplomat loose instead. This is the first time they've gotten an order wrong. Do you think this had something to do with the discontinuing? I ordered around X-mas. Should I complain or just let it go? They've always been great before..

is this CONFIRMED???!? I mean, I know the 'out of stock' on the swedishsnus site is rather telling, but...i'm waiting for an official statement beyond the vendors.
I mean, I'm not an extreme fan of N&J, but, I like it enough to hate to be pressured to stock up on it and worry about whether I'll get any if the stores are empty.

I have one can of N&J lös in the freezer that I got with my last order and haven't gotten around to trying yet. I'm not a real big fan of the portions, but I know the lös could taste better, and as strange as it may sound, I'm sort of hoping I don't like it too much either. At least that way I wont miss it once it's gone. Maybe I'll hold onto the loose for a year and then sell it on ebay. Just kidding. I got that email a day after I placed an order, if I'd known, I probably would have gotten a few cans of it, just because.

I can understand Swedish Match discontinuing this snus if it isn't popular in Sweden; I can't imagine the online sales of snus can even come close to matching actual retail sales in Sweden. So, even if N&J lös is popular with us foreigners, that probably doesn't mean much compared to the overall snus market.

All this doesn't make it suck any less for the people that do really enjoy it. I'm sorry guys, especially you Soft Morning, City.

        Aloha,

It is still offered on buysnus as I'm sure all of you know. I was about to order some last night, but was skeptical. Has anyone tried?

According to the email others got, they said they had a limited supply. If you really want it, email about availability, and buy a bunch.

This is indeed sad news. I'm glad they at least keep on producing portions. I would really hate to say totally goodbye to one of my favorites.

I wonder if the producers of Skruf is smiling now?

                Great news! For me, anyway.

After talking to Swedish Match, Nick and Johnny will still be manufactured. It is just being taken out of production for Sweden, not for Norway.

This leads me to believe that some webshops might sell it too, seeing how snus from smaller manufacturers such as Gellivare Snusfabrik, and also the danish Offroad snus, is available.

                  no complaint here

Just finishing up my last of 2 cans, and the last of my stash. It seems to get worse with every dip. Worst stuff I have tried yet, but sorry to those folks who liked it. My condolences

I'm going the other way with my experience. I like it a bit better the more I use it. It's still not my favorite, but it has some interesting flavors that develop over time. I much prefer unflavored(very mildly flavored) tobacco in my lös, and save the highly flavored stuff for portions. So far none of the brands have come close to Landströms and Gellivare for taste and consistency. I love the coarse grind they use, and it isn't to wet. It can take a lot of abuse without turning to mud. It also has much more flavor than almost any of the other lös snus' I've tried.
