Below was in the email from Buysnus I received today. A new snus brand to try!!! I just ordered a can so I'm looking forward to trying something new.

I wonder if it's again made from cuban tobacco or if the manufacturers now want to get a leg into the U.S.-market. The product-description on their website ( http://www.taboca-as.com/ ) leaves it a bit unclear.

Did you read the product descriptions from http://www.taboca-as.com/ ? They're way over the top with their marketing speak. I bet using their snus will make your penis bigger, you'll get monthly promotions at work, and you'll have to hire a body guard to keep the woman away when you leave the house :^D

Yeah, I find the original description even quite sick and I clearly prefer your's!

For the best Taboca's description sounds like they want to hide every information about the real features of the snus and for the worst ist sounds ... well, no normal human being writes such a crap IMHO: "Bold, distinctive packaging promises standout from older, traditional brands giving younger snus consumers the means to discover their own independence."

I don't think it contains Cuban tobacco. I ordered some and they sent it to the US. It didn't drop off like the other Cubans. I'll throw up a review when I receive it in a couple of days.

I ordered some too so once I get mine I will post my thoughts too. The description is way over the top but for some reason, If I hear about something new or have not heard of, I'll buy it. I just gotta know what it's all about.

Well I received my Taboca today. It has a citrus smell to it. A mixture of grapefruit, lemon and orange. At first it tastes grapefruity and peppery with a slight menthol quality. In the middle the pepper taste really comes out with a toned done citrus and tobacco background. About 40 mins later it had turned to a bitter tobacco taste. Not too bad. I like the metal can it comes in. In shuts tight and seems well made. The color scheme didn't do much for me, it looks kind of cheap. I would say 6 out of 10. I am not the best at picking out individual flavors in stuff so keep that in mind.

Damn it, why couldn't they have suggested something about it being citrus city instead of all that marketing crap?

Now the tins I've ordered will be relegated from something I was looking forward to trying to emergency back-of-the-freezer crap.

I received one in the mail yesterday. I thought what the hell and give it a try, considering it costs $2.50 a tin....

The aroma reminded me a bit of the 'cigar' brand snuses, for example
Romeo y Julieta. However, the taste is quite bitter and I didn't really like it at all. I won't throw it away, but yeah.... It's getting relegated to the back of my freezer for sure :lol:

I didn't think it was horrible or anything. I agree with Kindrd's six out of ten summary. It's got a decent, almost grapefruit-ish citrus flavor, and it still tastes okay after the better part of an hour. It does have that background Play-doh-ish flavor that I pick up in Roda Lacket portions, but I kinda like the flavor.

It's definitely not an everyday snus for me, and I'm not sure I'd order another can.. who knows, though. I liked it better than some others I've tried.

The marketing is atrocious, though. It sounds like a first-year marketing student got a little wired on caffeine.

What in the hell is the "independent snus customer"? Is that as opposed to the masses of corporate snus customers? And "fresh spring water" is supposedly giving it a "unique taste"? Uh huh.

My tin came.. I've had two portions so far.. Eh... Not the worst snus I've ever had, but nothing to write home about. I've got a feeling it'll sit in my fridge for a while and I doubt I'll order another tin. But it's worth trying I suppose.

My feelings exactly. I don't regret getting it, but this'll be my last order, good thing too. I have way to many snus' I consider must haves, and my freezer's packed to the gills with tobacco :^D
