    Empty Cans?

OK... is it just me or are there others here that can't seem to pitch certain tins once they are spent?

Now... I'm not talking about empty cardboard los cans... I'm talking about Lucky Strike, Romeo y Julieta, Montecristo, Tobaca, Nordic Ice and even US Camel Snus tins; cans of heavy gauge construction that would seem to have an additional use once they are empty.

I've accumulate a somewhat large collection of these types of cans for God only knows what reason. Is there anyone else here that saves these types of cans; and, if so, what the hell do you do with them?

I save every single tin I use, even the paperboard tins. I use them fairly often, and I recently sent some to another member. You never know when you'll need a container shaped like a snus tin, and it would be hard to come by otherwise.

I said no, but I do have a couple of empty Lucky Strike, and Camels, but I don't forsee getting them again, so I don't forsee me saving any other cans.

I keep special ones. Camel White, LS, Retro, 1847 Metal, "Fresh Prince" Roda.

I save 'special' tins too and don't know why. I save all my snuff containers too! I justify this collection because I do not collect anything else and this collection takes up the space of a small plastic box. I think part of the reason I collect is because I have ditched cans in the past that I wish I hadn't, such as the Vertigo cans. I would actually use those now to carry snus around.

I save far too many. I still have Diplomat tins and a bunch of other rare to find/discontinued ones - Pall Mall, Skruf original los (from Norway). Need to throw some out. Gotlands tins I'll always keep as I dump any SM los in them as soon as I open them. Keeps fresher longer.

                  I love a nice can.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I saved some for a while, but stopped. I recently moved and that has made it easier for me to let go of things.

you never know when you'll need to re-use one for something else.

I only save collectable ones. General Bullet Proof, Onyx Carbon or Kardus I can see keeping. Otherwise, I bin it.

I keep all of my first use snus tins of every brand and flavor. They're memories. I'll also probably save another one if the can is redesigned. But saving multiples of the same can? Probably not. Unless it's Gotlands cans for the aforementioned use. Damn they make some good, sturdy cans that reek of classiness.

I save 'em all. Every last one of 'em. For the most part, I don't reuse them.

Like a house made of beer bottles?
