    Question about fridge mate

So I just got my order in with the General Cap and the Fridge Mate. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with putting these in the freezer. I was not sure, since it is a "fridge" mate, and the plastic seems kind of thin on top. Was thinking it might get brittle if I put it in the freezer. Anyone have an opinion on this?

I've got one due to arrive in another day or two. Let me get back to you once I've had a chance to take a look at it. Meanwhile, perhaps someone who already has one might toss in their $.02.

its not fragile in the least...i believe it would survive in the freezer.

i have 2 of them but have no use for them...i prefer using the shelf in my fridge and vaccum sealing long term snus in the freezer.

if anyone is interested in buying mine...in brand new, never used condition. shoot me a pm

I have two of them and have no use for them. No, I wouldn't put it in the freezer either. I'd use it in the fridge, but it makes no sense for a variety of cans. Oh well. ..

Yeah right now I have a roll of general white in there. It looks good sitting in the freezer, but I think I might actually go down to the Humidor and give it to Rob. He has a general snus fridge that this would look great in.

Works great for variety snus, just peel off the top plastic. I did and it works great.

OP... I would not put it in the freezer

Mine arrived today. I see what you mean about that top piece of plastic looking flimsy. But if you take ladysnus's advice and peel it off, it might work. The rest of the plastic seems sturdy. But it's your call, obviously. I'm going to put mine in the fridge.

Yeah I checked the dates on my roll of general white and they are good till September. I just packed it up and put it in the shop fridge. Looks good in there next to the beer.

They'd look good screwed to the inside wall of the fridge. Probably not practical for a mix, but for someone that uses 10 tins of the same type, it would be a slick way of dispensing snus.

I'm keeping everything else in the freezer, and we have this fridge out here that we really only use for drinks, and my go to regular strength snus has been general white for a while now, so it's pretty much perfect for me.

On a side note, not that impressed with the Nick and Johnny Black so far. I had about ten left in the first can and went ahead and put it away and got a can of N&J regular out. Not a lot of flavor in the black IMO.
