beer and snus.. what is your favorite combination

just wondering what everyone's favorite snus is while drinking a cold one. whether its beer, lager, ale, pilsner etc. haven't quite figured out mine yet

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that any snus and a nice, cold Molson Canadian are tops on my list!

Not my favorite for everyday use, but something about Kronan is amazing with a beer. It has that bite of juniper and another musty quality that just begs for beer. By far the best combination I've found yet.

I avoid the more heavily flavored snuses with beer. I like Knox, LD Gold, Grov, N & J with beer. Goteborg's #2 goes nice with any drink involving a high-quality gin. I think they have similar herbs in them.

It depends on what I am drinking.

Typically I always drink stouts, so pretty much whatever snus I have with me will have to do. I will not let my choice of snus stop me from enjoying a pint of guinness or black ale.

As far as complimenting flavor, I have only found one truly great combination:

Delerium Nocturnum + Offroad Cranberry (Los or portion just as good)

Other than that:

Ettan and General seem to go well with Pale ale, and Probe is good with most brown ales.

Nick and Johnny is my choice when I am forced to drink crappy American beer (Bud, Coors, etc.) as it adds some nice flavor to that watered down crap that we call "beer" here. Then again, I typically choose not to drink when these are my only choices :wink:

Lucky original portions and Miller Lite is good. It may be a bit of a stout combonation.

I really like a nice porter/stout beer with a portion of Onyx.

I can verify that Roda Lacket portions go really really well with rum and coke.

Ya, I like Heineken alright. I don't want to get too off base, but has anyone tried Heineken Light? Any good?

I wouldn't recommend RL or Got Rape, but everything else goes great with a nice brew at the bar. Kronan as I've already stated is definitely worth a try .

The Dutch probably laugh every time they think of Heinekin. It's a skunky boring beer. I think it's like the Japanese loving Bud Light.

(I have to admit that at home, I'm a Coor's Light drinker) I actually like Heinekin Light better than the original.
