    Is KickUp Safe?

I read in another thread that there has been some problems with nontobacco snus.

I'm thinking about ordering some KickUp (both regular and mint) in my next order. Northerner has both of them available from their US warehouse. The mint sounds like it would be good.

Anyone have any experiences with this product?

I'm pretty positive that the teeth decay issues caused by non-tobacco snus have been remedied, but somebody correct me if I'm wrong. I know SM altered Onico's ingredients when they found out about the issue, and I think other non-tobacco snus producers altered their products as well.

Check the ingredients. I think it was corn silk that caused the problems. It would convert to sugar in the mouth and cause tooth rot. Like midnight said, SM changed their formulation, but I don't know about other companies.

No idea to be honest. The problems were caused by the portion fillings used in Onico originally which basically had a similar effect to having a piece of candy in your upper lip - tooth decay and gum erosion. The majority of nic free snus (including Onico) now uses a different and presumably safer filling but perhaps check the ingredients first. I think Swedish Match had a press release about the problem so a quick search should give you an idea what to look out for

This. Didn't mean to repeat but typing on the iPhone is too slow to compete with these guys

KickUp seems to use tea and cacao fibers instead of corn, so I don't think you should have any worries about using it. Here's the SM press release about the issue. Northerner also gives the full list of ingredients for kickup so double check yourself if you'd like

Non-tobacco snus WILL KILL YOU. Stick with the nicotine and tobacco... it's safer.

On a serious note, I'm hesitant to try nicotine-free snus because some of the fibers break down into sugar. Apparently, these problems have been fixed, but I wouldn't roll the dice.

NOTE TO FDA: tobacco is less harmful to dental health than sugar. Perhaps they could print this on snus cans?
