I'm gonna wait and see how bad it really is cost-wise and whatnot then make my decision. I got a sh!tload of snuff stockpiled and I can always go back to Copenhagen dip since they stopped putting fiberglass init.

If I can order a couple of rolls, to my work, so I can sign for it, and it's about $6-$8 for postage, it should be OK. I'll only quit, if I want to, for maybe gum health reasons, or it's just a big hassle. I think there is a shop that sells locally, but I've never been there, so it might even be better to get a couple of cans locally, as I use 1 can a week(4 portions at work, and sometime out shopping).

          Nope.

Like snus too much to give it up.

For the first time in over 15 months I smoked cigarettes. I had absolutely no craving for them but I wanted to see if they still had any effect on me, so I bought 2 packs of Camel filters and smoked 6 of them through the evening. It was the most disgusting experience I've had in quite some time. I threw the rest of the $11 pack in the garbage and immediately put some Ettan in my mouth. The other pack went back to the store for an exchange of Foster's.

Anyway, the point of all this is that it's snus or nothing for me when it comes to nicotine intake.

I don't know? I wouldn't quit because of cost per say. I would quit just to not give this criminal government of ours any more cash than I Have too. There's a part of me that says by using snus you are supporting these criminals. And by quitting i am doing my little part to deprive them of some revenue. I have also adjusted my spending in other ways. Do as much work as i can for cash. Don't have any loans. So it wouldn't be a stretch for me to quit. I Use maybe three times a day as it is. Easily I could wean myself off and feel a lot better about myself. Not that I feel any guilt about snus, I feel guilt for helping these f#ckers at all just so I can be a self indulgent prick.

I'm just going to use what I have and attempt to call it quits anyways. Went from regulars to mini's and the general mini mints seems like I can keep them in my mouth for hours on end without any notice. For the morning trip to and evening trip from work I'll use a Thunder Mini (keep 3 in the Mini Mint catch lid). Not thinking about price or whatever just thinking its about time, ya know? At least for me.

Perhaps we can just get someone from the forum, everyone throw down on a trip to Sweden and send him our orders once a year. That would actually be pretty funny. SM sees a spike in sales by maybe 1000% for one or two days every year at one Tobacconists, and then it drops off again.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned Mexico. We're very close to that country, and AFAIK they don't have any stupid restrictions on tobacco. Get a PO Box down there, and make a pickup once or twice a year.

Not sure that's the best Idea LX- My buddy is a pilot for a regional freight carrier. About a month ago they had a plane get grounded there. The only way they could get it back was to pay off the officials (big money) or what the consolate told them to do. Fly 2 pilots down have them bribe a gasser to fill the plane and basically steal it back. Point is Mexico is pretty rough right now. Not sure I'm willing to risk my life to save a few bucks.

You might be right. I was also thinking packages could disappear fairly regularly from there also :^/

Oh yes I did!!! I bumped this old a$$ thread!! I am actually relieved that PACT didn't affect me as much as I thought it would! I did exactly what I said I would do, never toss snus out because I disliked it. The higher prices have not steered me away from snus, they have made me enjoy it even more than I did before. I no longer use portions for only 10 minutes at a time, I savor each and every minute of the 60+ minutes I keep one in my mouth, even the ones I do not care for. Anyone else here see the PACT crap actually as a twisted 'blessing in disguise?'

*My opinions are definitely not politically based, so I hope no one is under the impression that I support the decisions made by the U.S. govt.

The only positive thing it did for me was I didn't spend any money on tobacco for months because I had stocked up so much. Now I make an order here and there to replenish/try new snus, but I believe I have enough to last me at least another year.
