yes, nearly right... all content has to be reported to FDA, and if there are any changes they have to be reported
All V2 products will registrated (big job)
That's great to hear, as V2 is my fave snus. But again, this leads me to believe tobacco items must meet FDA approval before they can legally be imported into the US. The snuff sellers don't seem to get this.
It seems that every time this subject is discussed there are two distinct questions being posed. However, in the discussion those two questions are never clearly distinguished. As a result I'm not sure we ever really know what answer we have received.
Therefore, let's ask the question in a more concise manner.
We all know snuff and snus must be registered with the FDA to be sold in the USA.
The question remains
Must snuff and snus be registered with the FDA to be sold internationally via the Internet (say from a vendor in England or Sweden) to a private US consumer for personal consumption?
And can anyone point to the section of law that says so?
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers
Also a big THANK YOU to the V2 boys for not raising their prices at a time when their customers are already being hit by on line price hikes, soon to be taxes, extra shipping costs, and limitations on selection.
Thanks guys
You have my support
Oh and J&M ...........................your big ol billion dollar company................................ can kiss my $10 white ass.

While I agree that the V2 guys truly are a blessing to the snus world I have to defend Swedish Match here. They make THE best snus on the market. Period. Not to mention they are pioneers in the movement to get real Swedish snus into Americans' hands. If their prices go up a tad, so be it. It shouldn't be too much, I wouldn't think.
I think for the most part foreign businesses should be fine unless they are trying to establish an American operation. If the FDA starts blocking British and Swedish products for no good reason (British and Swedish companies are not bound by American laws) I imagine the companies could complain to their government and stir up quite a hissy fit internationally.
It would be like if the USA demands disclosure for all ingredients in wine, and banned imports of Bordeaux from small vineyards that didn't submit a report to the FDA. You can bet France would be pissed off. On the other hand, snuff (and snus that isn't attempting to comply to a lesser extent) is such a small market in the US that I wonder if their countries would care enough to bother.
