I have notice that there have been comments in various discussions about the best PH level in Snus for the optimal nicotine uptake. It seems that 7 to 8 on the PH scale is the said to be the best.
I had quit all tobacco products for over 20 years, and out of some crazy whim started up again using Oliver Twist. The reason, it help me loose about 50 pounds in about 3.5 months (plus exercise); a little nicotine kills my need to snack. Actually it was my breakfast with 2 cups of coffee, I did it all day, and it made me pretty much indifferent to lunch. Of course, dinner is my big meal.
I was happy with that and things were fine. I had done American Copenhagen for 12 years and smoked as well. It was hell trying to get off the Cope, so I was scared shitless of anyting in a round can, but I had to try Snus. Now I find myself doing Snus loose and portions 80% of the time and Oliver Twist (original) in between (especially in meetings at work). From a subconscious (or maybe taste craving aspect) I guess, I am snussing more because my brain wants a higher level of nicotine. I am guessing the Oliver Twist is way lower in nicotine (doing 2 bits at a time) then snus. Plus the PH level in Oliver Twist is 5.1 which may make a difference.
I still love the taste of Oliver Twist Original, but it does not seem to do the trick. Does anyone have any insight to all of this? Ph level and how Oliver Twist nicotine levels compare to Snus?
