    Skruf Stark and itching

I am a new snusser. I have been using the product for about a month now, and love it. When using Skruf Stark, I have noticed that it makes my tonsils itch. Has anyone else experienced this? I have used other strong snus brands without this irritation. Any ideas?

I've seen some mention here of people who believe they're allergic to something in Skruf. Perhaps it's the rose oil? Do you have other allergies?

I too, am itching for a skruf stark portion.

Your probably allergic to something in this brand of snus bro, does this happen with other flavors?

Skruf and Göteborg are the 2 brands I've heard people having an allergic reaction to. You may not be able to use it.

I get headaches from cinnamon flavorings- gums, snus, hot tamales etc.

Real cinnamon doesn't bother me though.

It's probably the rose oil. Lots of people are allergic to roses.

Thanks for the feedback. I do not notice it when using the Skruf Tranbar. Who knows, maybe I do have a slight allergic reaction to it. I have two and half more cans to go through, but it will definately not be my daily snus.

I know the sensation you mean, it is like someone is tickling the back of your throat. I never thought of it as an allergic reaction just as a reason to not use Skruf.

gilkm, skruf used to make me itch around my upper lip and nose. skruf (rose oil) doesn't seem to bother me anymore.
You may build up a tolerance to it.

It could also just be the higher nicotine content if you're not used to sterks. If you are, though, it's probably the rose oil as others stated.

Imperial Tobacco is the parent company of Skruf (pronounced 'Skroof' and Knox brands of Swedish snus. Skruf is probably the second most popular snus brand in Sweden and one of the top most popular snus brands in the growing American market.

Skruf was started by two life long friends who saw an opportunity to make a big future for a small product - Jonas Engwall and Adam Gillberg.

Life long friends and entrepreneurs, Jonas and Adam, sat down in 2001 to discuss how they could use their skills gained in the world of finance to build a business in an area they were passionate about.
