Full report from Sweden and our visit with Swedish Match!

Alright, finally got a blog post together here about our recent visit. I was quite over the limit (not common for me, I'm not too wordy, but hard to write this one in a short post.)

    http://www.snuson.com/forum/blog.php?b=173

Also, there's a link in the blog post to the PhotoBucket account of the 100 or so pics from the trip as well.

Had a great time, and glad to share it with everyone!

Decent, but not like OMG or anything. It's like Lucky original with more pepper, a little more peppery, and a cooling flavor around it. Interesting, but not like one i can't live without.

Another question if I may ask? Did you see a total commitment to the US market? I mean was there talk about expanding here and making sure we can get the real stuff in the future?

To be honest that and several other things I can't really disclose, but Incan say things will be very interesting coming soon and SwM hasn't forgotten the US market.

Thanks for the update Chad, it's nice to know that we are not the red headed stepchildren over here. In my opinion, it seems like some of the manufacturers, Granit for example, don't take much of an interest in the US market.

In a few months I'll be meeting with the SwM North America folks, so I'll be interested to see what they have going on too.

Please let them know that even though we are Americans, we really don't like a bunch of crap in our tobacco. Salt is OK though.

Nice job CD1, very interesting read. I'm wondering if you heard anything about the supposedly upcoming General Long portions.

Some Americans do, some don't. I think that's why the General Mint is being pushed hard by the Original Pursuit campaign that is visiting bars and such across the US. They have General (Portion & White) and Mint available, because it seems people can be split on that one. Some have refined tastes and can enjoy traditional Swedish Snus, but for those who can't - Mint and Wintergreen seem to be a good jump off and starting point for those who aren't used to these flavors but still want to try real snus. I think variety is a good thing. But, the oversweetened crap we have here (Camel and Marlboro) definitely need to be taken down a peg.

Some of the things I heard and saw I have to keep on the down low for a while, but I wouldn't give up hope for that one.

How about the women over there? Are the rumors of Sweden being a country filled with beautiful women true?

You have no idea. And it's not all tall blonde women like the stereotype, it's just tons of beautiful women, everywhere.

And the guys don't all look like Dolph Lundgren like I had been expecting.
