General Long Cut available in Prague

The other week I travelled to Prague for a few days, whilst there I wandered past a tobacconist
Gazing through the window I saw along side the Redman pouchs cans of General Long Cut & LD, looking at the cost I thought I would buy a can and then if it was as good as the regular I would buy a few roles.
I eagerly purchased a can and opended it within minutes, sorry to say it was crap.
The can was black and stated on the side "the new way to enjoy tobacco" also said it was made in Sweden, the slogan alone would be illegal in the UK
I don't know if it was because I had just discarded a pouch of Skruf stark or whether I wasn't used to the long cut texture
I used Skoal long cut mint about 4 months ago buying some at Dubai intl airport as a treat and I enjoyed the texture and flavour but this (General LC) was pretty bad
The texture was such that it could not be baked it was a matter of taking a pich like the American stuff but it wasn't long enough like the LC U.S. stuff to get a good wad of it
The EU hasn't obviously got its claws into them as this stuff will be getting banned soon there, I am not sure how long they have been a member of the EU but it's been a year or 2.
Amazing you can still buy Redman loose leaf here in London but we can't get the Swedish stuff. I used to use Apple Jack when I was a teenager in the UK but I don't like loose leaf anymore.

Maybe it was a dodgy eastern European knock off?

Because the Czech Republic is a member of the E.U.
