Nick & Johnny Black goes White. (...white PORTION)

Nick and Johnny Black Portion is about to undergo a makeover, Michael Jackson style. N&J will be going from black portion to white portion, and be released around the end of June as "Nick and Johnny White". The flavor, nicotine content and weight will all remain the same. Once again - due to the key Norwegian market, these changes are being made to meet two of the things they seem to enjoy most about a snus, the white portion material, and a high nicotine level. I liked Nick & Johnny Black, I love Nick & Johnny Original, and I'm looking forward to see what this new release is all about. I've been hoping for a new strong white portion for a while, so this may be just the ticket.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't N&J Black already a "white" portion? Seems all they are doing is removing some dye from the portion bag.
Personally I don't care about the color of the bag. As long as they don't screw with the flavor.

Yup, N&J Black was just a strong N&J white portion in a black bag. Now it seems like the bag will be white. Thought the black bag looked classier myself but no biggy, purely cosmetic.

I'm looking forward to it. I find that all of the black portion material snuses get slimier than the others when in the lip for over 45 minutes. Onyx is the only one that I really like because the flavor is unique enough to deal with the sliminess. I'm hoping the white portion material performs the same as the others...though I'm thinking N&J White might be a 2-3 hour portion. yum.

It seems that once you go black, you can indeed go back.

N&J Black is my regularly scheduled snus, I use it everyday multiple times a day. I like the black portions because they look cool and since their black you can hide the a little better but none of that matters as long as they don't mess with the flavor.
The flavor to me resembles Onyx without the price tag.
                Long Live Nick & Johnny!

I don't know. I think the can is kinda cool. N&J is one that I've been meaning to pick up, but for some reason I haven't. I really like that stuff.

Hey Sh00bie, is this one of the releases you heard about when you visited Swedish Match? If so when can you spill the beans about the other releases?

I am looking forward to this one. I love N&J Original but dislike the black portions. The black portion material has an odd chemical taste to it that overpowers the flavour of the snus. The white portion might just become a roll buy.

Must admit personally never noticed a taste difference between white and black portion material but, as with everything, everyone's perception is different.

Since a few other sites have mentioned it, I know most of you are probably aware of the new lab series type General flavored snus. Didn't get to try it, but did see some can art and it looks like the old general lgo/can. But that's about it other than this one.
