    One month and forgot counting

Tried my first snus just over a month ago after 20 years of smoking a pack plus a day. Not had a cigarette sinse I popped the first snus in.

Just realised today it was the one month mark on Sunday and I had not even noticed.

It is amazing how good this stuff is at helping you stop smoking.

The only thing is I am enjoying this so much it will probably be another 20 years before I think about quitting snus.

    Joke

    Nah that will never happen.

Maybe a few more months and I'll consider mixing it up a bit.

Currently on 8-10 Skruf extra stark at the moment.

Love the Goteberg Rape but it just does not give me the nicotine levels I nead at the moment.

    Oh and lucky strike

    And Generel

    and

    and

    and

Just so much to look forward to

    Cheers

Congrats! I've been about 4 months now with zero chance of going back to cigarettes.

      Congratulations Andy!

Isn't that weird? I've quit for up to 6 months before. But I always knew exactly how many days it had been since my last smoke.

This time, I have to get out a calendar and count whenever anyone asks. (2 months and a couple days)

      Great Job!

        Congrats.

I recently found snus too and went from a pack and a half per day to about 4 cigs.

I've been stubborn about giving up my "first of the morning" smoke and have been having it this week, but I'm cutting that one out to starting tomorrow.

          Congrats!

I know what you mean. I had to look at a calender too to figure out when I had my last smoke.

I found that it's been easier than I thought it would be to move down to regular strength. I think it was mostly a mental thing. I wanted to make sure I had enough nicotine, but when I just started using regular strength I was fine. Of course, for the first few days, I brought a can of emergency Thunder with me just in case I needed it.

However you do it, good luck to ya.

            Congrats!

I haven't really been trying to quit cigs -- I still have one or two a day -- but even that is remarkable for me. Snus does indeed make it very easy to forget about them.

              Congratulations.

This seems to be a common phenomenon, I completely forgot my 2 month mark until 2 days later. I have smoked cigs a couple of times since quitting with snus. I don't really count them since it's more of a social thing then anything else, the two times I've smoked have been on camping trips and my camping buddies smoke. It's never been a problem to go back to snus after the trip, and sometimes mid way through since it's galling to spend $6+ a pack

Grats! Your story sounds much like mine. Cigarette free since mid-March.
