Btw, thanks to you I had an interesting meeting today. The people from Pioneer Snuff dropped by the office today and we had a nice chat. Got to try a roll of snus fresh from Thailand. Really great stuff. All hand made from their very own tobacco plants. They let on that they may do a eucalyptus flavoured snus soon, and they get pure eucalyptus juice straight from the trees since their next door neighbour is a eucalyptus lumber yard. Talk about craftmanship.
      Fredrik,

Do you have any insider contacts or such whereas us skruf junkies can maybe write them a letter of interest or sign a petition that we would like to see skruf come back to the US market?

I wish I could help there but this is all about high level politics. EVERYONE at Skruf Snus AB in Sweden are super eager to file with the FDA but the powers that be at Imperial Tobacco (who own Skruf) say no. I'm not a guy to speculate, but if you put a gun to my head I woud guess it has something to do with the US being a huge cigarette market for Imperial...;-)

Pioneer will have to submit to the FDA to be available to the USA. And is Toque Snuff gonna be on getsnus? They have submitted to the FDA.

Very likely the case. Makes sense when you think about it. Thanks for the info. Life is going to suck without skruf.

Toque should be okay, yes:-) Can't say exactly when but we'll get that added to the site within the next few days.

Awesome! Pioneer makes a GREAT snus. And Petter is a really nice guy, I've spoken with him a few times. By hand made, you aren't joking, everything they do is by hand, and that's hard to find. I'm hoping if he goes into a larger production of this they continue to stay true to what they started with.

Since this seems to be the thread where questions are being asked and answered, I might as well ask this:

I have been waiting on five cans of v2 product that have been pending for weeks. Now my order history is wiped, so that I can't see if the cans have finally shipped or not (which they probably still haven't). So, were people's order histories wiped for the pact stuff, or what's up? Also, will I now be having to pay more since the original shipping option when I placed my order weeks ago (usps) is no longer an option?

A related question- Will the shipments that were back ordered, now require a signature for delivery? From your post above, it seems you're adding the 'signature delivery' charge from UPS as of today. I was hoping the few items that were out of stock from my last GetSnus order might be sent yet this week. I'm in the sticks here, and UPS only attempts delivery while I'm at work, and then they drag it 40 miles back to their yard. If the back order requires a signature now, I'll have to take a day off work to be home, or leave work early and make an 80 mile round trip to pick it up. Not worth it for just a few cans left off my order. If that's the case, I'll cancel those cans and just add them to my next big order in a few months, to make it worth a day off or 80 mile drive.

I am glad I found this out about Skruf and started this thread...... Seems like a few of us may have some issues to take care of.

                            @ Northerner:

Since apparently everything is on backorder and taking weeks to ship, is there any way I can pay extra to be moved up to the front of the line when shipments come in? lol I'm so not joking and I don't care if it's a dick move. I am completely out and I am sure there are a thousand orders before mine, and i'll probably have to wait for several more shipments before I can get any snus in my house.

On a more serious note, since you guys will likely take several more weeks to ship my order, am I going to be responsible for any additional costs if it's shipped post-PACT?

They shouldn't charge you any more for extra incurred due to PACT. The contract you made through your order was agreed to by both parties before PACT came into effect, so the terms of it should remain the same I'd think.

                                LOL, Yeah, I agree entirely!

Happily, modern psycho-therapy has relatively good results.
