so I was just watching deadliest catch

Well, anybody who watches the show, knows that Capt. keith of The Wizard is a dippper, Well apparently after the last episode he wants to quit badly. anyway, after 20 + years of dipping, it might seem to most that this isn't quitting, but to me if we can teach this guy about snus it would be a huge victory for him and us... as at least he would change his point of contact, and maybe change his life, the scariest part about this last scene I saw was his little girl saying if he didn't quit it would lead to lung cancer, talk about coached, but that's to be expected. I don't like Capt. keith, but nobody needs guilt for no reason.,,, so if we got any catch fans out there please help me to introduce C. keith to some good oral tobacco. So maybe he doesn't have too explain to his lil daughter about it, and maybe get snus some face time on a popular show.... I could be wrong, but I just may be right. So please help me guys, How can we get snus on T.V.? Seems lke a perfect time and maybe turn some bodies life around. I THINK IT WOULD BE GOOD!!!

Captain Phil's youngest son was snusing when he did a stint on Sig's boat. Phil and Sig traded greenhorns for a week. Must have been a few seasons back, RIP Phil. Half of those dudes are from my neighborhood in Seattle, Ballard, where all the Scandos live. I bet if those dudes know Sig's crew and the other Scandinavian crews out there, they know snus. Obviously not well enough though, or they'd be snusing too. Touché

Edit: not really my neighborhood. It's across the drawbridge I can see out my window at my current residence. My current apartment kinda blows but it does have a deck that overlooks the ship canal. I can see about 10 big ass fishing boats from my window right now, and driving across the Ballard Bridge you can see about hundred or more of them. Neat huh? lol

They traded jakes not greenhorns, And i still think, if we could educat capt. keith on the joys of snus and he used it on tv this would be a good thing. I know, I know, but blue, you don't want snus to get big. Yeah your right, but the jeanies outa the bottle at this point. and just hearing that little girls say "daddie your gonna get lung cancer from dipping" turned me on my head. It was so reflective of the whole tobacco propaganda. Seriously guys this is a golden opportunity. Come on Frederick this is the American way man, You wanna get big. Send this guy some snus and some literature. Rickcharles are you out there.....

I just clicked on this thread. what a disappointment. I thought it was about the women guys married.

            carry on
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I watch this show, and am amazed every time I see these bastards on deck with layers of clothes and gloves and hats and hoods and freezing water splashing on them and they somehow have a figgin cigarette lit danglin out of their mouth!? Do they have a designated lighter keeper? How do they keep the cigs dry?

Keith does seem like a turd, but I think they edit it to appear that way. Probably a great guy. I'd send him some snus. Maybe the Coast Guard could drop it off as a care package? The episode where he couldn't find his Ramen Noodle cup cracked me up.

The superstitions and shit and rituals they do for mojo is awesome.

                That's hilarious.

Especially considering I could never get one to even light if there was a breeze anywhere in the area.

You never seen them light cigs with a benzomatic. but of course that doesn't help keep the cigs dry, as I'm sure they don't. they just bring a lot of cigs is what i think.....

In the episode that Jake Harris went over to work on the Northwestern, he was cooking dinner for the crew and dripped some tobacco juice near one of the dishes. Later while eating with the crew he admitted his near miss. One of the crew members asked, "What, you almost got your snus in the food?". Thought it was interesting that they said snus, but I suppose it makes sense seeing as most of them are of Scandinavian descent.
