    tobaka tastes pretty good

I have just opened up a can of Tobaka. My impression is that it's some good snus. A nice rich tobacco taste with a hint of that bergoment, or perhaps it's just all tobacco. In any case, great tasting portion.

Taboca isn't that bad, if nice and fresh it tastes like figs kinda like red man plug. By the way i just brewed a pot of coffee with some snus mixed in with the grounds i chose general and nice medium roast coffee, it is flavor full. I still need to add more snus i cannot taste it but, getting a good nic kick.

Good to know it worked. I'm trying to decide what the best snus is for iced tea...I'm thinking about Knox; it's pretty herbal for a lightly flavored snus.

Knox would be great for a tea. Granit has an earthy taste that might appeal to you for a tea. I might toy around today (day off) with my snus and coffee/tea

Taboca is a staple for me. I really enjoy the taste of fig and it is QUITE apparent in Taboca snus; at least to me it is. I sometimes wonder why it is priced so cheaply on BuySnus.

I'm digging Taboca also, just ordered a roll for winter stockpile when buysnus dropped the price. I like it because it tastes so generic to me, not too salty, not too flavorful and for a non-white portion it seems to last a good length of time. The only snus can I've yet thrown out halfway through was Retro portion. Maybe I just got a bad batch.

Funny you should mention it...Heather and I have been toying around with the idea of "brewing" a couple portions (like tea) and then mixing the extract (?) with some good old fashioned southern-style sweet tea. Seems to me that a lot of the snus flavors marry well with a mouthful of sweet tea. Plus, if I could carry some "Nicotea" around with me, I could get my buzz in places where using my icetool might not be appropriate.
Warning for those trying to do the snus in tea thing. I read somewhere that a full sized cigar, soaked in a cup of water for 24 hours would give enough nicotine to kill someone (if you downed all the water) BTW - that water is the PERFECT insecticide for anyone doing gardening. In fact, probably a lot more natural than anything you could get in a store - kills aphids on roses like you wouldn't beleive (wow - I am so off topic).

Anyhow - I am not saying don't try the "snus tea" thing - but just please - do so with caution. I don't know what boiling water will do to the tobacco and nicotine and how much will exude into the tea, etc. Please just proceed with caution (and do report back on how things went!)

I would tend to agree with fedora, but it sounds delicious, and if you guys could pull it off and market it cocsp2002: maybe you could be the King and Queen of nicotinated beverages and put your daughter and any future kids through college for chemical engineering degrees, maybe your bloodline is the future of tobacco use!?

btw: snus-tea couldn't be much worse than all the mushroom tea I drank as a rebellious teen...and I turned out juuuuust fine.

I agree, fedora; we think 8 mg in a 24 oz. container should be more than enough. The plan is as follows; heat 4 oz. of pure water (read bottled, or filtered with something like a pur filter, or brita) to around 180-200 degrees, brew a single portion in the water for 5-10 minutes (it'll take some experimentation to get the brew time right for best flavor) and mix that "snus extract" with 20-24 oz of prepared sweet tea and mix well. Once the solution is emulsified (or is it dissolved?) completely, cool the tea and sample. I'm planning on trying it tomorrow; will post on the results.

Ok, I used one portion in 4 ounces of water, mixed that with 20 ounces of tea, didn't feel the nic, couldn't taste the snus...not terribly successful. I'm upping to two portions, and I'm going to reduce the "extract" by about half afterward to concentrate the flavor. This WILL work, people...

I think my can of tobaca must have been bad then as all I taste from it is bitterness through and through.

Yeah, I don't know what's wrong with it either

I dunno, when I was in my "hate bergamot" phase which I'm now coming out of, I still liked Taboca then, I didn't even pick up Bergamot, to be honest.

                              snusify,

I don't think it was bad, that's just the way Taboca is, some people like it, some people don't. I finished off a can, and I will not be reordering it anytime soon.

I recently picked up a can. Have had it a few times before, don't remember hating it, don't really remember liking it much either
