I have officially run out of snus.

It happened today at work of all places... used my last portion of coffee-vanilla. Add to the pile: I can't buy skruf anymore. G'damn anti-tobacco nazi's took my skruf.

So anyway, I'm smoking again after almost a year without. I forgot how gross smokes were.

Worst part of all this... There's not even a store around here that sells general, let alone dip.

no such luck... can't afford to order til the 10th of next month and that provides that northerner fixes the tax bug before then. otherwise 2 rolls of gots yellow is gonna set me back almost $300

Have you tried the cigar shops? The ones here seem to have Oliver Twist for some reason.

Not snus, but similar. Maybe you could find some Skoal Bandits or something?

we only have one "tobacco shop" on the island. they sell mostly coffee. they do sell cigars and pipe tobacco, but that's all the tobacco in this shop. i tried talking them into selling snus several months ago when i first heard about PACT and the owner straight up told me there was no chance of it. they make more money selling $40 lbs of kona to the tourists (you can buy it at the grocery store for $15/lb).

the gas stations here don't seem to carry dip, at least not that i've found yet.

Do what you gotta do, but I'd go to dip or chew before I went back to cigs. Actually, I'd just use Camel snus if that's all I could get. Either that, or plan an annual trip to the mainland, or better yet Sweden, and stock up once a year.

Get some pouched dip, and learn to upper lip it. Upper lipped, it's much like snus, and you really don't need to spit. Timber Wolf makes pouches, and so does Longhorn, both made my Pinkerton which is owned by Swedish Match for those that care.

Hi, I'm from Norway, 10 minutes from Sweden and have recently moved to Kaneohe, Hawaiinow. Which company do you use for the $57 snus and for how many cans? I would rather not bother friends sending to me, but would like to compare prices. Which island are you on, with only one "tobacco shop" ?

Dupee does that cigar shop have snuff? I just started and I'm enjoying it a lot.. Maybe they carry a couple brands. I myself would rather double barrel camel than go back to cigs.

Dr_astin, I'd recommend using Buysnus.com until northerner sorts things out for you. Sounds as if they've miscalculated the taxes on snus for Hawai'i quite severely. Of course, you'll have to place a really big order (I'm talking a 10 roll order) so that the $40-ish UPS shipping from Sweden to Hawai'i doesn't hurt you so much.
