I have less than a half-tin of Skruf left....

Heya Boss, the update is that there is no change in status...yet. We're still working on this, but dealing with 40yr old laws and the bureaucrats is time consuming. Wish this process were moving along quicker too, but I assure you...this has become my priority. Now if I could just get these states to make it a priority, lol.

          That is correct. Not snus.

Actually, UPS and FEDEX have agreements with USPS to deliver parcels to delivery post offices; Amazon & QVC, especially, send this way.

However, the question is moot at this time since ALL carriers are prohibited from delivering any tobacco products in Taxachusetts. Northerner is working to correct that problem by registering with the state as a distributor; that takes time and $$, but they are trying to work it out. But Post Offices will still be prohibited from delivering tobacco due to the PACT Act.

I'd help you out with the Skruf except that I hadn't had time to really get into it by the time PACT kicked us in the b*lls -- maybe on my next order, once everything settles down. (Duh!! By then your situation will be leveled out!!)

Maybe now's the perfect time for Northerner to put together a
              PolitiCare
package of snus, wrapped up in red-white-n-blue,
along with documentation on its safe usage. They don't like to
think out-of-the box so let's give them the box!

The biggest problem would be delivery of this care package,
especially to the politicians in the banned states! Maybe the
use of runners from a friendlier neighboring state?? Hmmm!

                Sigh.

Thanks for the help guys. I might just have to find one of you guys in northern CT, and just have you order the stuff for me and I could swing by and pick it up

The other alternative is going to a local CT UPS store and having it shipped directly to there. :/

I'm a teacher, and one of the few things that gets me through my stressful day is the sweet sweet snus

I'm expecting a shipment through a UPS Store Monday -- I'll let you know how that works out!!

There evidently have been some problems:

I didn't have any problems with my first two deliveries (one of them post PACT), but this last order they made a delivery attempt and refused to let the apartment office sign as they stated they need to know that I'M the one over 21...so I have to have them hold it at this apparently dinky ass center in a suburb all the way across town from where I work...and their open hours are 10-12:30 and 4-6. Open 4.5 freaking hours and they all happen to be hours that I'm at work since I'm putting in overtime. What the frak? And of course I call their 800 number to see if it's possible to have it transferred to the other ups package location (where I've had packages held for me before and happens to be like 5 minutes from work so I could grab it on lunch) and all I get in response is "We can't do that Ms. ____ Does that answer all your questions today?"

Ironic that a package delivery company can't deliver a freaking package 15 miles so that I can pick it up before they ship it back to freaking Sweden. That makes a lot of sense. (I'm sure there's a good reason for the company's policy on that in general, but where I work, we're empowered to make decisions against general policy if it makes financial sense for the company and customer)
The UPS Store I checked with said that wouldn't be a problem but that was like 3 weeks ago!!

                    Yes, please do.

Did you have to add the UPS Store to your allowed shipping locations on your credit card?

                      YES...

I didn't tell them it was a UPS Store -- just gave them the address...

Now waiting anxiously for Monday to see how it all shakes out!!

One question: When did the law go into effect in SD? I ordered some shortly before PACT and had no problems.

I even had it delivered to a PO Box.

Well, the package arrived at the UPS Store early
this afternoon and I picked it up 2 hours later.
Total handling cost: $3.00 -- no hassles.

There's more to come because this was a very
partial shipment. Let's hope nothing changes
'tween now and then -- really looking forward
