Help for those in banned states.

I think in times like this it's good for us as a small, crazy, nicotine addicted family to pull together and help those in need.

Wow, that is....very very nice of you. I have the feeling you'll be getting a good number of requests coming in soon...including me from SD.

That's very nice of you - but be careful.

IMO and IANAL, but I can see "smuggling", "tax evasion", "conspiracy" and other issues with doing this.

Oh - yeah - you're also limited to 10oz (a bit over a roll) and to 10 shipments every 30 days (this will probably be hard to enforce).

Just an FYI, not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but I have had snus sent to me twice from private parties in the last week and both times the bags were ripped open (obviousely inspected), then duck taped shut and placed inside of a new larger package. I am pretty sure someone is checking the content of what you send, at least here in CA. Not sure if i'm just paranoid but they were obviousely torn open then duct taped shut and it took longer than normal mail does ot get here.

So for those planning on sending to banned areas, I would advise sending small test packages first just in case.

If this is done, we need to have the members involved do it all by PM and only ship to known snuson members. Although obviousely the package will have a return address, no need to add evidence online. That way you could just claim you didn't know since this is new legislation and you don't follow every new bill that passes.

You could always do it like with concert tickets that aren't technically allowed to be re-sold. Buy a "Special Edition Paperclip" for 50 bucks, get a free roll of Snus as a gift. Therefor, no tax evasion or smuggling.

Just stick it in a priority box, don't say what it is, and use a fake return address/

lol, I'm just saying be careful. You can decide for yourself.

I can't afford risks like that.

After what sgreger just said, uh-uh, no way, sorry guys, need a can or 2 to get you by alright, but I am not gonna subject myself to any more gubment bullshit than I have to. I really don't feel like being disappeared. It seems to me they should do what dan said. Order to a ups store in the closest state.

Yeah probably shouldn't be openly talking about circumventing a new law on here. This should be done in private.

                            • most clerks don't give a damn what you mail, but a 'suspicious' package can be inspected anywhere along the route to destination; no one will hide a legal inspection and it will be somewhat properly repackaged (usually enclosed in a clear USPS plastic bag)
                            • duct tape is totally out of character for someone 'inspecting' a package; too easy to get caught
                            • some low-life, looking for contraband, could attempt such crap -- possibly some neighborhood punk who intercepts the package after the mail-carrier has dropped it off and before you get to it (there are plenty of documented cases of this, even in a 'crowded' neighborhood; grab it today, return it tomorrow)
                            • not all of the above necessarily relates to California
(they seem to react like most other foreign entities)

It was all very neatly done, the top of the orriginal package was cut open, then neatly duct taped closed (how else would they close it)? Then they took a larger, brand new UPS package and put the opened one inside of it and continued it along it's way to my house. I've had it come in a plastic ups bag totally ripped up and enclosed in this clear plastic bag saying sorry but customs looked in it. This was not the same, but someone definately opened the orriginal then reshipped it in a larger package. I doubt someone would look in my stuff, not take anything, then pay for a brand new larger envelope just for kicks.
