I see on BuySnus and Northerner where they say white portions last longer, but what is the actual difference between white and original? I can't seem to find a straightforward answer anywhere on the net so far.
White portions Vs. Original: What's the difference?

Portions were originally made with, essentially, something much like normal snus, just packed into teabags. The snus used is quite moist, like normal loose snus, and the portions are, likewise, quite moist - the white teabag soaks up the snus juice and becomes the familiar brown colour of a portion. White portions are a newer invention and use a dry process to package a less-moist sort of snus into the portion. Since they are dry, the teabag stays white - hence "white" portion. The moist portions absorb more quickly and release their flavour more quickly, but don't last as long. White portions are neater and need time to moisten up before they release their goods - consequently, they also last longer.
