General foil packs :(

Did anyone get the free sample foil packs from General?

I tried the WP ones and it tasted gross. tasted like the smell of play-doh or something. Don't get me started on the mint and WG flavor. (heave)

I don't remember WPs in cans tasting that bad (although I'm not much of a General fan)

Did I potentially just get a bad batch?

Maybe you did. The guys at the local tobacconist where I buy General sometimes give me handfuls of the sample packs when I go in, and I don't remember the portions tasting any different than the ones from a can. Been a while since I used any from the sample packs, though. (I have been saving the ones I have left in case I get the opportunity to hand them out to others who are interested in trying snus.) I'll have to try one and pay more attention to if it tastes different.

it's been a while (1 yr) since I had General. I've been steady on other natural tasting brands since then.

I have about 30 of these. Have started giving a few away to friends and family.

I don't notice any difference though.

I've used General in some form almost 10 years my first purchase was in Växjo Sweden while on a business trip and those goofy sample foil packs taste like Sh!t IMHO, for the life of me I don't know why SM thinks these are OK to give to potential customers. Yes I am a General fanboy, but if Rick sees this post just send me a can and not the sample packs... Please...
